I mean especially something like Liszt and Paganini’s la Campanella all the way to something like libestraume by Liszt. Classical music can offer all the emotion and can show views of the composers for example Debussy shows to have a different view of moonlight than Beethoven with his clair de lune.

@@arsena5209 I would disagree with the former and agree with the latter. Most people listen to classical music because they like to and would find even in the most boring ones a some sort of interest. Which is why whenever I study I just plug in video game music. It’s built to keep you engaged in a task, either crunching through stressful scenarios to keep blood rushing, or peacefully allowing you to think while accompanied by gentle melodies. I just can’t focus with music made to be heard all on it’s own, if that makes any sort of sense.
@ragnkja

If you’re able to keep the music on while playing games (video game music tends to be far too repetitive for my brain), this makes perfect sense.

@sebastianfranasovic7005
Жыл бұрын
@@ragnkja i rarely ever get tired of video game soundtracks, I like the repetitive motion as long as it’s not merely just background noise. An example of this is Hollow Knight, the music is simply perfect to listen while exploring through different areas, and it’s even built to be dynamic, adding instruments which change the tone of the music in more tense scenarios (Harder combats or parkour challenges) which is the most clear in Crystal Peak, an area with a beautiful calm soundtrack which turns into a tense and engaging musical piece when you’re in the harder areas. On the other hand, the ambience from Deepnest is just annoying to listen to, because it’s repetitive with barely any notes that keep things interesting, and there’s pretty much no perceivable change between the standard track and the dynamic variation during gameplay because the area is constantly filled with the noise of enemies. If you haven’t listened to it, I recommend giving the Hollow Knight OST by Christopher Larkin a shot.

Yep. Professional musician here. I've always been surprised and skeptic when casual listeners tell me they like classical music cause it helps them relax or helps them study. Dude, what? Most classical music is Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Brahms and Mozart, and those dudes wrote so you don't stop paying attention. Only some works by them, specially Bach and Mozart, I'd say might be light enough for that, but these are not usually very known works (and casuals usually end up listening to the most know ones... because there are the ones that stayed in the memories and hearts of audiences... because they are memorable... because they call your attention). Music for aristocratic courts are good for that, as musicias that worked at courts filled the need to provide for entertainment for the events and gatherings of the court, so they balanced interest (for those paying attention) with lightness (for those chatting) and that is mostly galant and baroque, like some of Handel's music, C.P. Bach, Telemann, etc. Vivaldi don't fall into that, he wrote very gripping music as he wasn't dependent on court life.

@sebastianfranasovic7005

@@shooter7734 I see how can that work. Most of his works are for intimate settings and have similar structures over quasi-improvised melodic use. Sounds like cafe-bar music to me, haha. He probably is the most sophisticated representative of the cafe-bar spirit in music.

Your brain literally interprets music differently than theirs do. To your brain, music is language, whereas to a non-musician it’s just sound.
This is me, this is 100% me someday 😂🤣

I’ve been in the Nutcracker multiple times and hearing Tchaikovsky just makes me really happy 😂
if I even tried to listen to music while reading I would feel SO rushed and presssured😭
I get carried away too, it plays with, tickles and massages my ears. When they say that’s “music to my ears”, that’s how I feel.

Classical music used to be like... pop music way back. So it's not half as boring or as calming as people say.
I love classical music 🎵🎶❤...

As a classical musician, I can't listen to classical music as I study. It activates the language center of my brain and so its like if someone was talking to you while you're trying to study. I have to listen to pop songs from other languages so I have a basic, predictable pattern in the harmonies, very basic melodies, and all sung so I can't understand it.
Nocturnes it’s perfect for studying tho
