@@vukasindabovic4238 haha i know my friend, those are very popular hits, and I agree. But i mean like the entire album itself is a masterpiece, with songs like The Radiance, The Requiem, Fallout, the album had a distinguished and unique sound and lyrics that were very powerful and a kind of a warning towards humanity. I've read many comments saying it was an awful album because it wasn't "heavy" (and I get it, it's not their classical old school sound), and that got many fans to kinda dislike the album like a "meeeh, okay". But no one can deny that when you hear the lyrics in The Catalyst, you get chills.

You see so many comments about how the band has changed over the years. So many people complaining that they're not what they once were. I've been a fan since the beginning and we need to embrace the changes over time. The music is a reflection of their maturity and progression. They're not angry teenagers any more. They're artists, and they change, create, mature, evolve and experiment. If you complain because LP doesn't sound like they used to, then you're not a fan of the band, you're a fan of one or two of their songs. This song reflects some of the bands frustration. And it's awesome.

this is inaccurate my friend. absolutely love the first 2 albums, not just a couple songs. I, personally, haven't liked them since after the 2007 release of Minutes to Midnight; even that album only had 4 or 5 songs I actually enjoyed. I'm glad they still have fans that transition as they do but don't assume since we don't like their new stuff that we're not real fans. that's just an ignorant thing to say man

An absolutely brilliant song off this album. Really love the large amounts of deafening percussion here along with the in-your-face raps & tribal vibe. I really don't get why people say this album sucks with claims of it "lacking heavy-metal guitars" when they literally present themselves after the first 3 seconds of this song along with other great ones such as "Wretches And Kings", "Blackout" & "The Catalyst". Then again, I've been aware for a while that they're 2 simple guitar chords run through a sampler on this particular song or it could also be heavily distorted bass, but my point regardlessly still stands. I personally think LP & Rick Rubin had every proper justification to have this album sound like the masterpiece it truly is.

"May not sound like Linkin Park" I personally disagree. "MInutes To Midnight" was definitely one of LP's attempts at distancing themselves from their past work. Whereas this album seemed to be making a comeback to their original sound but with more ambitious production techniques & ambiguous storytelling. I often use this particular track's usage of simple power chords & heavy distortion to justify this.

DualShot - I'm fairly certain that's exactly what the song it about. People want LP to only make Hybrid Theory again and again, and don't realise LP want to move on and make their own music. There's no point being a band if you only make one style of music forever. When those 'fans' "catch up" and listen to LP's new stuff, they'll beg for more of that, and LP will "be gone" because they want to keep moving sonically. At least that's my idea of what this song's about.

I wonder how your opinions shifted over the last two years, guys. Sorry For Now and Nobody Can Save Me, perhaps my two least favorite songs from One More Light, are now some of my favorites from the album. Weird thing is that when it was released, the instrumental part after the first chorus of Sorry For Now was possibly my least favorite moment of the album, while now, it is probably my favorite part of that song. I actually liked the album when it came out. Wasn't my favorite, but I liked it more than The Hunting Party. But now, I seem to like them both a lot more than before. I guess some albums just have to grow on you. A Thousand Suns was also criticized heavily when it came out, but few years later, more and more hardcore fans started considering it the best LP album and that hasn't changed since. And I agree. When hearing it for the first time, I just didn't understand the album in the context of their career (I only got into LP after The Hunting Party came out). But listened to it few more times, couldn't get enough since then. Strangely, One More Light album has grown on me even though I basically completely avoided it after Chester passed away. I guess their music will always find a way to grow on me

In my opinion, this is the real linkin park, because this is the album in wich they made creative and original music, the first two albums were generic nu metal, the next album were a pop rock attempt, with one or two heavier songs, and the other albums are a little more interesting, with a few songs that are really creative, but this, this is linkin park, this is mike shinoda at his best

Hybrid Theory made nu metal better than ever before and after and is their greatest album in terms of legacy. Meteora has a crap ton of star power and solidified their sound, but was more of a rehash than a creative release. Minutes to Midnight was a test bed for musical experiments. You could argue that as an album it failed but the individual songs are very good and surpass their nu metal output imo, not to mention it still sold like hot cakes. A Thousand Suns is when they finally achieved perfection in creativity and sound. I'm glad that nowadays the album is getting its just due. Living Things was a step back from the previous album in many aspects, probably created because they were burned out or wanted to give the old fans a treat while still remaining in the electronic sphere. The Hunting Party is nothing new but for Linkin Park it certainly was. The heaviness and passionate playing was a treat to hear for so long after since their alternative rock days. One More Light was a questionable venture into mainstream modern pop music. Some songs were good but as a whole it was a misguided project.

Brad, Mike, Chester, Rob, Dave y Joe

"When they come for me, I'll be gone." Chester knew exactly who was coming for him. Coming to "get" him. They're the same people that came for and got Michael, Coolio, Kurt and many, many others who knew the truth.

This might be darn near the coolest song LP ever put out. And arguably Mike's 2 best Rap Verses in his entire arsenal.
