It’s also interesting that the characters of both shows are very similar to one another. Emma - Serena & Evie Cleo - Nixie & Mimmi Rikki - Lyla & Odina Bella - Weilan.

I hope Jonathan M. Shiff bring back the h2o series again in this era by release season 4 for h2o or mako mermaids or maybe a reboot show for any of these 2 shows becuz it's been 8 years mako mermaids had ended & 14 years h2o had ended

I only want H2O. It's much more mature while still being suitable for little kids, has better plot, better characters, better pacing. I could watch it with my kids if I hadn't already rewatched it to death. Mako Mermaids is so vapid I'd either puke or fall asleep.

@@Lestibournes yeah, I also like h2o's plot more than mako mermaids becuz it's all about teenage girls deal with their mermaid transformations & powers & have their powers upgraded in each season but in mako mermaids all of the natural mermaids have all of the powers & seems overpowered

I Sean Finneran have been imaging H20 Just Add Water and Mako Mermaids as one very magical TV series with all the cast and locations together forever.

Wrong becuz in H2O season 2 if u included Charlotte, there were 4 girls had became mermaids & in season 3 if u included Emma off screen, there were also 4 girls (including Bella) became mermaids Meanwhile in Mako Mermaids the plot is different from H2O, in every seasons there are 3 natural mermaids temporary became humans, in season 1 only Zac became merman & in season 2 only Evie became mermaid & later in season 3 she lose her mermaid powers

Please explain to me, was not Mako Mermaids chronologically before H20 ? I saw all the reruns of Mako M. and I was captivated every time. But could never figure out the starting point of H20 being a continuation or not ?

I finished mako mermaids a couple years back. It’s…an acquired taste. 😂 Legit the only similarities are SOME of the rules about how mermaids work and that there’s 3 main girls and 1 boy to pay attention to. But the premise and story is kinda convoluted as they try to make a mermaid society. Tbh if you try to watch it, take everything with a grain of salt after one of the main girls leave. It gets a bit more strange when another girl leaves too and tries introducing another. It’s an okay spinoff, but the tone is kinda off and the shenanigans aren’t as fun as JAW.

Mako mermaids is mainly about 3 natural mermaids temporary became human girls to get to the land & catch the human boy which had became merman back to mako island to lose his merman powers when the full moon appeared & become a normal human again
