@@martinfarias3804 Cover means his stack is larger than yours. Half a big blind means he has half a big blind. During tournaments big blinds go up after set intervals of time so people will eventually get knocked out. For example, maybe the start of the tournament the blinds are 1000/2000, but the next stage will be 2000/3000. The big blind is the larger number.

If it's a tournament the rules kind of change. I've gotten back from 10 bbs before, but I also want to know whether or not it's feasible for someone to call my last remaining 10bbs with any two cards against me if I suspect they only have A high or less, and I think I may be ahead but not sure but possibility to win regardless to a fold. If they'll go from 38 to 28, or 28 to 18 bbs I might push it all-in as a semi-bluff, if they think they might lose they're less likely to call an all-in with A high as opposed to from 60 to 50 bbs and the shot at taking me out which could be worth it even if they think they'll lose. Depends on my reads on their habits etc. as well, history and so on. I also sometimes struggle a lot seeing certain colors from afar (near sighted and have issues with red/green and fades of purple), so I can't always count their chips on my own. "A lot" or "6 million" doesn't help me at all and you're just a dick to me. I don't exactly want to reveal that I have issues at times figuring out how much chips people may have either before entering a pot. They could be stacks upon stacks of 100s chips instead of 1ks for all I know. Unfortunately there is no "See chips in BBs irl"

@@acesupana2246 I don't play cash game tables, too grindy and not very fun to me. But I definitely see the difference from cash game to tournaments tho, it's all the same math as long as they cover you in that game.

I love playing heads up with those players who are very short stack but still always fold preflop until they have like 2bb or less.

Very close to real-life except usually it's when you're just counting the last 3 chips they say "ok ok it's alright I fold"

When i was a dealer players had to keep their chips in stacks so they could be easily calculated by players and dealers. Also couldnt hide big chips behind smaller ones.

Even if covered in 1v1 scenario it will have implications on the possible value ratio between you and your opponent. It is then not just about this hand, but a risk analysis for the overall victory.

Usually the more experienced players will keep their stacks in 20's to make it easier for players and dealers to count. The dealer always has to check, but once you have one 20 stack the rest is easy. I do occaisionally ask for a count and then muck as soon as the dealer starts counting just to mess with them 👹

Depending on the tournament. WPT when the time banks are in play, all ins are actually counted and announced to the table before anyone asks, then the time clock starts
