As much respect as I have for these guys, that axle is never going to be structurally sound again. There's a reason why they are cast in single pieces and not welded together.

@@schickmann They spent dozens of labour with cheap, in fact, cheapest possible quality slapped across that truck, right in the middle of a road (I don't even want to get into the transportation costs, long/short term). The worst part is that this will remain exactly the same way if another truck loses its tire, next moment. And we wonder why there is such a huge difference between the developed and developing world.

The weight limit on the truck is based on how thick the spring pack is. That theory seems to work well over there, judging by the number of axle and suspension repair videos coming out of this country. The upside of this theory is it keeps men and boys employed. The downside is, well, it kills people. But it keeps the repair guys busy, right?!?

I live here. We like to load the truck till the axel breaks. It should not be like that. But it's somewhat the norm. If a trailer says 880kg max, you could get away loading it up to 4 tons. Most vehicles are engineered way beyond their stated load carrying capacity, if you ignore the safety. Thing is they don't make em the way the used to in the seventies. Most axel breaks happen on newer trucks. Seeing how thin the metal is and how hollow it is says all about the quality. Hino, Isuzu, Faw, dongfeng, are the common ones, we used to have Bedfords. You could load those till the wheels carved the prints in the tar on the roads but the axels would stay in place. Overloaded Old bedfords destroyed most of the national highways. These days we have the newer trucks, one pot hole is all it takes to break , especially when overloaded. Why your name's Bergdhal though?

I use to work in saudi Arabia as a workshop supervisor, and there were many Pakistanis who use to work in the workshop, I usually have to take a decision of changing something with the new one or we can go for repair, these people in there home country usually are poor so they always choose to repair so it should get cheaper, but in saudi the have the option to easily replace it once I Say them we should replace it..! But these guy's get the kick when they fix something rather the replace it so mostly of the time they use to ask me we will try to fix it if it doesn't work then we will replace it. Dedicated bunch of guys for sure 😁

(Ive ordered plenty of brand new custom or OEM motors) Had plenty of shit builds with the RIGHT specs and the RIGHT parts made by the Company who does it daily and still fuck it up.. It amazes me how much tho fellas just have the know how to get by, And keep moving.

Unlike in the USA where there are strict safety rules, inspections, emmisions, pride, keeping up with the Jones ideology and other things necessitating a need to buy the newest vehicles annually, in other parts of the world a vehicle isn't simply sent to the junkyard due to old age or break down. Even when the wheels literally fall off, it can still be salvaged for immediate repair at all costs. Most commercial snd residential vehicles last well over 25 yrs regardless of the mileage. People are poor so old vehicles create a whole new industry of junkyard professionals able to restore anything back into life. People actually work hard and harness skills that cannot be matched with any other. There, if you don't work you don't eat. There's no social security, no section 8, no food stamps, no stimulus check, no labor laws and no handouts. Realize how good you have it when the only complaint here is the rising price of gas. Respect to these folks!

I'm an American, and was in Thailand 21 yrs. and built several houses with local hill tribe helpers. Most of the framing is with steel members. I didn't like welding, so I always had helpers do that part. Once they came running to me with their welding masks and told me to look at the sun. It was a partial eclipse. Another time, they all jumped down from their workplaces and ran down the dirt road. I soon realized they were chasing a large snake. Dinner.
