My grief is like the ocean lapping at the seashore It comes in harsh waves then subsided to just gentle lapping waves then increases in intensity again until the next rising and lowering.... I pray the Lord will heal me from this pain soon....

Yeah I feel like it hurts worse when you know it was your own actions that caused it. I can’t stop obsessing over all I should’ve done differently. She treated me perfect all of the time, and I had my good days but also very bad days. She realized she was worth so much more than I was giving her. I just can’t stop beating myself up for blowing what was 100% the best thing to ever happen to be. Hindsight really sucks sometimes.

Don’t worry man sometimes we have to take a step back and realise it’s not all our own fault. While we may be the bigger wrong in the situation we aren’t the only wrong. I really feel for you dude. I’m in your situation. All I can say is take it one day at a time realise where you went wrong and make sure it never happens again. Sometimes we think we don’t deserve something and then push it away because of our own fears. It’s a self destructive mind set that you must learn to control. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay strong.

This is where we have to take the lessons to heart and use it moving forward. I’m going through the same thing. But we did the best we could at that time. There’s no other way to truly learn the lesson unless you have the heartbreak.

I have ,,and am still after 15 year's, going through this,,,they say time heals a broken heart....I do not believe that......I grieve every day the loss of the love of my life.....my wife of 25 year's walked out....15 year's ago.....I still have nightmares bad dreams about her....the sadness at times is overwhelming....it is a life destroying thing to go through... Heart break. The questions .the wondering...self doubt....your head and heart in constant battle... common sense tells you one thing..your heart wants another .. Contradictory to each other.... Confusion ....the what ifs...I should have done something else..said something else.... should have done more...did I do to much.... The old saying goes..if you love someone set them free..if they come back to you...they love you..if they don't they never did...... So in hind sight....she never truly loved me...........so why didn't I see that....I just didn't want to...... My eyes are open now.....my heart just can't understand it .......good luck to all going through this......

Don, I feel like I just lost the love of my life around a month ago. The pain from this heart break, this depression is so debilitating… he left me. He stopped loving me somewhere along the way, treated me a little badly… and I think he cheated on me. He’s with someone else right now and doing all the things, treating her well, loving her and being with her the way I wanted to all along. Healing is a very painful process and I truly do not know if I will ever get over him. Im so, so scared of life and being heart broken for the rest of existence… Trying to understand that this person left you for a reason, and that this was for the best, is hard. You just spend your time wishing that things were different. Finding yourself again and trying to find happiness in life after being left and grieving their loss is hard. God has my back and he will carry me through.. have faith.

I felt this. Tried having our last dinner with our kids all together after their first day of school, and had to leave the restaurant before I broke out in tears in front of them all. Lost is an understatement. Hope you've found your way out of this feeling.

@@ashtonmitchell4022this exactly happened to me. I gave her everything and felt like I sacrificed so much for her but she still loved her ex. It really sucks because she was the nicest person I ever met and was so respectful with making me know none of this was my fault.

“You need to give yourself permission to grieve” is one of the most healing statements in one’s breakup journey. Let your emotions flow as much as you can until you feel satisfied. Then the recovery begins.

All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (If my wife agrees to reconcile, our marriage will be better than it ever was. If my wife refuses to reconcile, the Lord will provide someone better for me.)

As we say at Marriage Helper, "Like Attracts Like". You becoming the best version of yourself is the BEST thing you can do to attract your spouse back to you and THEN you can work on reconciliation. Sometimes the grief comes in drops and sometimes huge waves crashes. The worst part is when I wish on my life to cry, but i cannot shed even a single tear. It really sucks when i cannot allow myself to cry a little.

It’s even worse when they leave you without closure. One day your life is happy, then your partner is gone - vanishes without a word after many years. It’s like a slow sui*ide - a little part of you dies every day. The best revenge, I have learned, is success so next time you see him with some old drudge, make sure you’re looking hot!!!

I miss her so much!! Never been this heartbroken! I should have been better, god blessed me with my bestfriend,lover and i messed it up!

Same here man. Going through this as wee speak. Totally crushed. Can't eat, sleep or function. Had my heart completely ripped out my chest and all because I went down with depression and neglected her. Hope your doing better now

My girl.left me after we were together three years, it seems so heartless and has caused so much pain

Ignore your parents. Focus on your own emotions. Find a person that’s a safe place.

I messed up big time now she's with another guy I fked up I just didn't realise it... It's even more personal when we are the same ethnicity and speak the same language in a country where everyone else is different.

If she leaves you then she didn’t love you. Don’t love something that can’t love you back, and that includes women. You want someone who loves you back? Get a dog.
