Immensely enjoyed this heartwarming story but I was tense when the story parts became intense & unpredictable... I have a family member, my physically disabled 53 yr. old daughter in law who received flat time from a 30 year exorbitant sentence in Arizona. She & her family subsisted on a vegetarian meal plan as a way of life since they were taught this food choice regimen as Seventh Day Adventists. Three children ages 12, 9, & 3 yrs. old lost weight and not enough of vital nutrients of calcium, glucose & protein. Lacking these nutrients for their children landed the parents in jail and on bail for 2-3 yrs. but when prosecuted the fullest extent of the law was handed out by their judges. Any options such as home detention & assigning a nutritional Social Worker was not accounted so their new baby was submitted to CPS & given to a first cousin of the biological Mother. Please know that all three children of the case are grown & very healthy & prosperous at this time & have communicated with our family continuously throughout the years by phone, text, email, regular mail, & word of mouth. Three of them used to visit their Mother before they moved out of state & still communicate with their mother and also with their father who was recently released I would like to correspond with a legal provider or advisoe to assist me in helping my daughter in law's release since she already served 85% of her time & she is has been an exemplary prisoner, teacher's aide, rehab. activities volunteer, etc. in her Arizona based prison setting. Excellent man

This story is very touching ,wish more people was like this man not holding grudge ,and willing to forgive.

I would have dropped to my knees and thanked this man for saving my daughter, then confessed what I did 15 years ago.

A TRULY INSPIRING STORY,IT SHOWS THAT IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO BE KIND AND SELFLESS IN WHATEVER YOU DO.

A truely good story with moral values. Finally I found one story worth my time.

Very touching story. Listened from start to finish. Message of goodness, kindness, forgiveness,repentance and reward.

What an evil person the judge turned out to be. Instead of trying to make up for the mistakes of his past, he wanted to get rid of the man who saved his daughter.

Younare very wrong in stating that the judge wanted to get rid of Jotge . He wanted to help Jorge an even apologized to him. Judge Silva even told Jorge that he was wrong. He stated that he wanted to traIn lawyers to help men who may have been put into prison for noncommittal crime.

AWESOME STORY!! Truly inspirational,and Jorge was such an admirable man so cool and humble with a lovely wife by his side to encourage him…The Judge’s guilty conscience cleared him of a criminal record and got him promoted although he lost 10 years of his youth wrongly behind bars.

This is a very good, very enjoyable story. I am so happy how things turned out in the end for Jorge. He was a good, forgiving person. The judge was made to see the injustice he did to Jorge, he knew that there would only be so much poor Jorge could while he bore the title ex- convict. I am glad that in the end he did what he could to try to make things better for him and his family. I really loved the story. I will await more good stories from Stories For The Soul. Absolutely heart changing story. Being evil never wins, but being good , honest and true always will win. Jorge is an example of honesty and integrity and not repaying evil for evil.

We can all learn from Jorge. He didn't have feelings of revenge for that judge that accused him of a crime he didn't commit and the judge knew it. I believe Jorge got favour because he had the right attitude; eventhough most of us would have held a grudge against that judge and tell everybody about him. I am glad the judge was finally convicted in his conscience to do the right thing. His daughter was a great help in the end because she wanted to honour the man that saved her life by taking her to the hospital and staying with her to make sure she was going to be okay. I couldn't believe the judge would thank him by hiring those thugs to beat him up because he feared Jorge would seek revenge on him. I am glad he chose to retire and make things right for Jorge by clearing his name.
