This is so real. My English teacher is hands down my chillest and most happy-go-lucky teacher, but one day when my study hall batch was being super loud, he came in and started yelling. He completely transformed that day and everyone was actually kinda petrified, since they didn’t talk the entire period.

I had a math teacher like this. The chillest dude ever, had along fuse, but it was known to not make him mad. I was in one of the classes he got mad at, it was a frightening experience. I also heard he threw a chair one day. He left though became an actuary.

We had a Spanish teacher like this in my freshman year of high school. He was always super chill and nice, let us have our phones out during class, let us use translators for tests, talk to our peers during tests, randomly gave us extra credit points every now and then… but then one day, this one girl in my class was always very talkative and we could never get anything done for the first 15 minutes of class and one time, she was talking to someone else very loudly and everyone could hear (it was a small class of only 11 students) and then my teacher just lost his cool there. But quite frankly, I would’ve too. Teaching is hard, man.

One time in fifth grade at the end of the day, my teacher got so mad at this one kid because he found out he was stealing the fake currency we got to buy prizes and stuff. He flipped over the desk and was shouting at him and it felt so scary because we all were just watching in uncomfortable silence, like a dad yelling at his son. It was so weird because this was the chillest, least mean elementary school teacher. I remember when I was getting picked up I had to go through the crosswalk and he was the crossing guard, I said bye to him and he smiled like he didn’t go beast mode a few minutes ago. Even though it was a long time ago I still remember it because it was so bizarre

This is on point from when I was in school in the late 90's. Except we didn't get any follow-up on day 2.

This reminds me of a time in high school, where we had one of those 'chill' substitute teachers, and everyone in class was a bit rowdier than usual ... (nothing abusive, just chatting and stuff) and the teacher suddenly screamed and THREW A CHAIR OUT THE WINDOW!!!! Everyone stopped cold. Then he got very quiet but had this crazed look in his eyes and would mumble the same thing over and over. We all just froze as we thought he was gonna murder somebody. Never saw him again after that.... poor guy.
