Im in the same boat. Waiting on a sub to be rebuilt. Have 2/3 ready so ill make a hole patch and keep an eye on the voltage
you can allways make the air space smaller

With sub up and port facing rear. If the port is to close to the hatch, would that cause a loss of output? Especially since the hatch is just vibrating violently?

i mean if its like 2 inches from the hatch for sure it would I like to leave a minimum of 6-8 inches for the port to breath but your hatch will break in the future and you're losing output with the hatch flapping around like a dogs head out the window gotta use deadener and if needed bolt that hatch down.

Ich hätte mir insgesamt 4 Subwoofer in die Box gebaut. Wenn der Platz dafür ausreichend ist.
