Gentle reminder: When we see flashbacks to before Ruka died Senjuro was able to stand up on his own and children usually start walking between 10 and 18 months, Kyojuro also mentions that Senjuro does not remember their mother and children usually start remembering things when they’re around 3 years old so we can assume Senjuro was around 1-2 years old when his mother died and Shinjuro stopped taking care of them. Kyojuro is also 6 years older than Senjuro which means he was 7-8 years old taking care of his little brother

Exactly! Pretty stressful knowing Kyojuro was probably 8 when he had to take care of 2 year old Senjuro alone without barely any help (I assume Shinjuro wouldnt fully neglect a toddler and would still provide needs but most of the time its Kyojuro) I understand him though, as someone who mostly has to take care of my baby brother alone :3💗
