Amazing how even a sickness can't stop this man from leading. When he stands on the Mihrab, says, 'Istawoo,' and says the Takbir, he transfers into a whole other world, where he's concentrated on his connection with his Lord. Leading millions of people in prayer, playing a major role in connecting them to their Lord. His sickness forgotten, uneasiness forgotten, trials of the dunya forgotten... he makes us feel we can stand praying to Allah all day. May Allah preserve him. May He keep him healthy, safe and sound. May Allah help him to continue setting the record for having the led the most number of salahs at the Haram. May Allah make us all love him for the sake of Allah, and only for the sake of that. May Allah bless him and us and reward him for the number of troubled and affected hearts he soothes, has soothed and will soothe.

Allahumma Ameen, Ya-Rabbil 'Aalamin, Ya-Shafi', Ya-Mujeeb, Ya-Wadood, Ya-Samee'ud Dua, Ya-Allah.
I was shocked this day. It was so painful. I heard it on the live telecast, and I was so worried. When he didn't turn up for the rest of the week, it got me more worried. And he came the next week, almost recovered ❤ Whether sick or not, he gave us a 5 minute recitation, and his recitation only reached another level of beauty and reverence that morning. May Allah preserve him and keep him healthy and safe and give him the ability to continue serving the Muslim Community in the right way and make him one of those Imams who served the longest His House and was among the most loved reciters ❤

Last year towards the end of January when I had gone for Umrah, Sheikh Yasser was sick. One of the salaahs he sounded like Sheikh Shuraim as he was reading in his style and the nasal made it even better!
