@@Globusiread up on the telemetry data, for a lot of those 4 years red bull werent the fastest. The end of 2013 and part of 2011 they were but other than that it was mostly McLaren and Ferrari sometimes even lotus and Mercedes

This man is a legend!

Max is likely better, but Vettel won in the most competitive era tbh. We had multiple teams competing for wins at any given point. Ferrari, Mclaren, Redbull, Lotus, even Mercedes and midfielders were strong. We haven't seen that level of competitiveness here yet. Hope it gets there though.

I miss those days when bbc commentators were screaming when Seb crossed the line as last man standing hitting every sector purple on saturdays! Best days ever! It was a joy to watch. Ya'll can say what you want but for us fans, he'll always be the best driver! Put Seb in the same car as max now and he would have won 5 championships more! Also, Seb has best personallity!

Debatable. Remember he lost to Daniel in 15 before moving to Ferrari. I don't think he'd surely beat max but for sure it would be a fierce and interesting fight between them, if he still has the drive to win after his Ferrari and Aston Martin years. I can agree with the last statement though. He is a good lad, but he was hated because he was too good and won too much

Great respect for all the fast guys out there, Titels this pole that , best car and so on...... what almost everybody forgets or doesnt know, is the way Max likes his car, sharp as a knife which makes the car fast but almost impossible to drive with no room for error, the truth is that not 1 single driver on the grid today could set these setting this sharp and finish on top, most of them would crash in turn 1, He is beyond gifted and will only be aknowledged when he stops!

This was menacing vettel. Absolutely amazing.

I really want max to drive the old cars in the seb era, the cars are so slowww compared to 2007-2021. Just looks at the pole laps for the RB19 and W11! No competition! W11 STOMPS the RB19, which I feel bad saying as an MV1/RBR fan, but it’s true. The cars were basically ruined with the ground effect regulations. IMO they look better, but are slower and soundless appealing and aggressive.

Well, the only way to debate which drivers are better than the others, is by how many WDC' they won. This is the single valid argument when you want to compare two or more F1 drivers. We all know who takes the first three spots.

That is not the only way. You can compare their relative performance against their teammates. For example, Daniel out drove Seb at Red Bull, forcing him to leave to avoid further embarrassment. Max out drove Daniel, forcing him to leave to avoid being beaten regularly. So, it's easy to conclude that in the same car, Max is faster than Seb. That's just one example.

And who was max's competition. The 2nd 3rd and 4th teams were to slow to even compete with the redbull car and perez forgot how to drive. Meanwhile vettel won 4wdc with a competent teamate mark webber vs a competitive mclaren with Lewis and Jenson Button, kimi in lotus, alonso in ferrari. All these champions at their peak and vettel on top. Whilst max had leclerc(not a wdc) lewis in a slow merc, alonso in an Aston that fell off after like 7 races. Let's wait and see till he gets a competitive grid

Only Seb could push that effect and play with it just like Max eventually plays with the car right now. +Lets not forget that Seb slowed down a bit because of his age and his family. Difference is, Seb had to fight for a couple of years, last 2 years were a walk in the park for Max. No one challenged him.
