The plant also coiled around a person reversing time for them. It is possible the external effects of time manipulation are inferior to the internal time manipulation of this organism. Externally reversing time to a point of non-existence or 0 for the human. Though, the plant reached this point itself then continued.

Then he wouldn't have been able to play the role he was trying to, I think he did well and his best to portray what he was going for. It's funny how the Higgs Boson got misnamed as the "God" particle. The media as they usually do, sensationalized the name as it was never named that by scientists. Leon Lederman referred to the Higgs as the "Goddamn Particle" because it was so hard to find.
