In some jurisdictions that would be correct because a life sentence can be eligible for parole after set number of years, but they compound on each other. So a life sentence could have you serve 20 years then paroled the rest of your life so dont mess up again. So in this event they compounded all the sentences instead of running concurrently, so it doesnt even matter what jurisdiction, its going to add up to you die in prison

just FYI 2-3 of these video clips involve people who brought gun to school but never fired it. but since the video is titled school shooters this implies that everyone in the video shot other people at a school. This is false and the video title should be renamed appropriately Those in the video who shot people deserve to do time for their punishments but those who just brought a gun to a school shoulcn't be branded/labeled as school shooters when they didn't actually shoot anyone. That's fucked up to be labeled that when you didn't actually do it.

  • @logoyoyo3685

Right? The title is misleading at best, if not just straight up clickbait. This needs more likes so that others can see how deceptive the title is. the video should be either renamed or remade with *actual* school shooters getting caught rather than people who simply made a mistake and could've had their lives ruined because of it, if it hasn't happened already.

Usually when they are having a severe manic episode and someone tries to intervene or approaches them in an aggressive manner to force them to calm down. Say tends to apply to Schizophrenics when they are having a psychotic break. Statistically it is pretty few and far between when someone with either disorders are the aggressors. Yes there are outliers but the general consensus is people who deal with psychotic disorders (despite being a mood disorder severe cases of bipolar would technically fall under that category) are far more likely to hurt themselves than others and if they do it is usually in a case of defense when people try to force them to calm down

I graduated in 1996. Things like this were simply unheard of. I grew up in a totally different world then the one we have today. That kids have to fear this as a regular reality to me is insane. Having said all that there is a problem with bullying it isnt always aggressive, sometimes its passive in the form of just taunting someone to fight who doesnt want to fight. I experienced that until what I believe was a very perceptive gym teacher that allowed us to go into the mat room where the biggest of the 2 kids at a school I was new at challenged me to wrestle. That was the end of that as I had 6 years of freestyle wrestling under my belt and the larger kid found out in a fight where anything goes, if we get in a scrum, it's probably not going to end up on our feet. Not everyone has that opportunity, or even foresight. I will be honest, I had a way to defend myself, but had I not I could have shot that kid in the face and not felt bad about it for a second. Kids are maturing and learning, we dont have the age, maturity and life experience to handle things well. Thats not an excuse to shoot up a school, but there are things happening and usually outside the vision of adults that really leave a kid thinking they have to handle something on their own. We need to do better as adults. Bring in victims of bullying and find a way to give kids a way to come forward and nip this in the bud immediately.

Had a buddy in HS who did the same thing as the first kid. He was worried about other kids being shooters, poor response times by local cops, and a rising drug problem in our area. He never got in trouble for it and I don't blame him for being scared. It's tough to picture him getting his life ruined like the first kid when we can see that no harm was meant.

It's a felony to bring any kind of firearm into a school or any other state or government administrated building. Gun free zone signs on your local store have no legal backing in most states, and you won't be charged for bringing a gun into said building if you're, say, conceal carrying a handgun. But places like PD departments, courthouses sheriff's offices, schools, ect. and even many banks is highly illegal and is a felony. One of the consequences of being convicted of a felony is the permanent revoking of your right to own or even be near firearms of any kind. Some states like Texas allow felons to keep non semi auto firearms in their homes for their protection. Again, state or federal buildings it's a federal offense to bring any kind of weapon, firearms, melee, etc. Into.
