This program is modelled on the NFL 'hard knocks' show. In some ways too, the MLR takes a lot from the NFL. The squad being cut down after the preseason is a feature of US sport.

@@exodusdiva2295 Try the NFL 'Hard knocks' show, where Rookies, signed from College, get let go without earning a penny, often never to play in the league. One poor performance in training camp can cost a lucrative career.

Salute to all the people who take a chance in MLR. Rugby is a sport like no other, including the professional game. Someday we will have more saturation and a rugby tradition in the USA. Thank you!

Why is this being shown? Have enough respect for your players to not make a spectacle of their re-up/dismissal.

This is a rubbish video. What on earth are they thinking posting this behind the scenes footage. Those players deserve better than that! Oh that's right, an Aussie crook owns both teams that got kicked out for cheating and now the players get put through this BS. Adam Gilchrest needs to be deported and not allowed to return, and the franchise needs to apologise to the cut players, especially Kurt Morath who was there to help, not be treated like a rookie. Worst team in the league for sure, and that coach needs to go back to wherever the fark he is from and get grounded again as he ain't nothing but a pretender.

Most of them don't make that much. Its only a semi pro sport, a lot of them will be doing it on the side. Not so bad though, they're still getting paid to play a game they like and can be a step to bigger things.
