During the second round of eliminations as part of this weekend’s NHRA Midwest Nationals on Sunday at World Wide Technology Raceway, Dymtry Samorukov’s car lost control during the burnout, crossed the center line and struck the wall before coming to a rest.
Samorukov exited the car under his own power and was examined onsite by the NHRA medical team.

THIS is why I don't like BUG's or crew on the track in front of the car during burnouts. Sometimes weird stuff happens.
Axle or center section of rim had to break , look at the video you can see the right rear tire wobble after impact

That crewmember Mike passed on the burnout just missed a shave by nearly a hair...He didn't know what happened til it was over for looking at the ground while walking😀
Crashed on the burnout and had the presence of mind to drive and steer toward the wall to keep from being in Mike's way before shutting it off. Mike would have contacted him had he not moved, likely causing even more damage.

LOL I doubt he had time to alter his steering. He wouldn't have had time to understand what was happening.
Shows the speed the rear wheels are actually doing while spinning during a burnout doesnt it.
Crew cheif should have a remote kill switch. That would have made sure Mike couldn't have backed into him.
Did he break an axle?

Sure looks like it, left wheel doesn't seem to be Spinning.
Lucky it didn't knock him out and the throttle stuck open.
