@@KaliTheThunder this. When Emperor Constantine moved the capital of the empire to Constantinople, the royal blood and vast majority of nobles went east with him. When the power of the Byzantines and Constantinople was fading, the emperors married into various ethnic group, a major one being the Rus from the former Novgorod Kingdom. When the city finally fell and the end of the Byzantine empire, the royals in Moscow claimed the title and sought to restore Rome by retaking Constantinople, see Peter and Catherine's reigns. By this simulation taking up the mantle of the Third Rome is really just a fascinating piece of history referenced here.

I was expecting to see a lot more border gore but after the peace conference the world ended up looking surprisingly pleasing, only stand outs being all of africa being just ITALY and the craziness of Third Rome

He has state transfer tool on. He probably cleaned up the borders for the "peace treaty" that ended the war. And that's a good thing. I much prefer a realistic end rather than leaving the peace to the insanity that is the AI. The first time seeing an AI peace treaty is fun, but the 10th, 100th time? It loses its appeal.

To sum up: Germany achieves its goals in western Europe Italy rules Africa Poland has restored the Commonwealth Russia has restored Rome (mostly in name though) And America has decided that allying them is a good idea somehow I mean they have all reached their goals (kinda) Germany dominates Europe (America is probably stronger anyways) Italy has established the greatest colonial empire ever known (Just not quite Rome) Poland has reunited the Commonwealth (But Eastern Ukraine and Belarus remain Russian) And Russia has been able to make itself known as Third Rome (But nothing else)

Japan became Russian puppet, not American. So its a big deal. And China became German puppet. I guess Russian-German alliance that US was so afraid of IRL could actually become the most powerful alliance. Also Italy is OP controlling resources of the whole African continent.
