I’m 20 and my parents want me to “be an independent adult” and want to convert my room so my stay is up next year. I work and contribute to the house and I would prefer to stay with them. So it’s just quite sad to me and I feel so sad knowing they don’t want me to stay. I know they have good intentions. But I can’t help but wish I could stay with them forever sometimes. Scars are like lines of poetry on our body telling the story of how we are warriors. Be proud of your story, be proud that you took the opportunity to remind others to check their moles. Skin cancer, like so many cancers, when caught early can be easily treated. I'm sending good vibes, and hoping for the best, that you'll have the surgeries and that's it, no spread and no further treatments needed. Then you can be welcomed into the Cancer Survivor Club of which I have been a member for 21 years.

Omg no, I had a tumor on my thyroid, biopsy sucks in your throat like don't let anyone fool you, it will hurt but it goes by super quick! They work fast and you're done in no time, just make sure to have some entertainment because you will sit in the waiting room for like an hour after for observation the only thing is there can be like a taste but that's it and the next day maybe like a minor sore throat almost like a cold. I felt knowing about this helped a lot to calm my nerves, it will go well! Praying for negative results, it is common to have lumps in your throat and they are usually harmless so don't stress too much

I'm 31 and I've always had a TON of moles and freckles on my body, but since I turned 30 I got a bunch of new ones and some of them started to grow like crazy and I got a little scared. So I booked an appointment for a full body check at one of the best dermatoligists in my area, and she found a few spots that were looking a bit "suspicious", but in the end all of them turned out to be just regular moles. Go chceck your moles people! Just to be safe!

I made an appointment for my dad right after this video. Thank you for the reminder! Our health and prevention is so important.
Hi! I work at a dermatology clinic and we see people of all ages coming for skin checks not just the elderly. We follow the ABC’s of skin cancer in terms of melanoma A.Asymmetry . Normal moles are round and have even boarders so if yours aren’t get it checked! B. Boarder. Normal healthy moles are smooth all around so if your mole has a “fuzzy” appearance or the edges aren’t smooth get it checked! C. Color. Normal moles are all one solid color so if yours is multicolored get it looked at! D. Diameter. Normal healthy moles are no larger than a pencil eraser so if yours is larger than the diameter of a pencil eraser get it looked at E. Evolution. If you have a mole that has changed in either of the ways listed above get it looked at! That’s changing size, shape, or color. There’s no shame in getting skin checks at young ages and no dermatologist should deny you a skin check regardless of age so if they do find a new dermatologist! I’ve done skin checks on kids as young as 4 for melanoma because it’s genetic!

I know what you’re feeling right now and I am so sorry you’re going through all that. I can’t tell you that is an easy path, but as a cancer patient and strong woman like you, I tell you that we are stronger than what we think we are. After a double mastectomy, 18 7 hrs. long cycles of chemo, loosing all my hair, 45 sessions of radiation, loosing all my skin after radiation, developing neuropathy and diabetes after treatments and so many many other things, and sadly no one helping me. I thought I was never going to be able to make it through, but all this has showed me how strong and how bad ass I can be. Every day is different with its ups and downs, but I’m alive and I thank God every day for I have the opportunity to show my daughters that I’m a fighter and a survivor. Is very hard but I’m very proud of myself. I pray for you to be able to fight it and recover as soon as possible. Love that you have such an amazing family to support you and care for you. Keep a positive attitude, it will help you a lot. I admire you for your strong will and your vision for been better and better no matter what happens in your life. Love you

Yes ma'am! Thank you for using your platform to encourage people to get their moles checked! I started having abnormal biopsies in my early 20s (precancerous, but several of them did end up spreading and requiring more stuff to be excised) and it's been an ongoing struggle ever since. I might have to go on topical chemotherapy in the fall for the presumed basal cell carcinoma on my face if the freeze treatment I received doesn't take care of it. Never in a million years did I walk into the dermatologist's office 10+ years ago and expect to walk out with a precancerous diagnosis. It just goes to show how insidious skin cancer can be! Praying and sending healing vibes that you have clear margins!

Hang in there Morgan❤️ We all love you and wish the best for you!
OMGGG Morgan!!! I ride dressage and am so excited to see your horsie adventure!! When I tell you I SCREEAMMEED when I saw the Dover bag is no joke. I hope you have fun with it girlie!! 😁🤎
you're handling this like a champ! and as much as it may suck, you might be exactly where you need to be right now. you have family home comfort while working thru skin cancer and upcoming surgery/post-op care, needing to be more conscious of your skin, etc, and that might be the very thing that helps you keep moving forward :) also, your grandma reminds me of some of my regulars at the thrift store i work at, very sweet and supportive and fashionable!
