Should I watch this show? I have some grievances, so hear me out before answering; When I heard how the power system/scaling works in this show I decided not to watch it. I’m not against deus ex machinas but only when they’re good or chosen by birth. I have no interest in a rigged system that doesn’t have room or the capability for progress or imagination to become stronger. Or worse a world filled with those without the will or heart to break past that system/scaling and go beyond their limits even if by just a little. Even if it was just one person, MC or not, to prove it wrong then that’d be good enough for me. However, if this guy is indeed planing on using this literal power system (and interesting concept, the power system having a consciousness or motive) against itself, or break past it even after his ex machina second awakening, if that is indeed its motive, then I’ll take a look at it and watch it. But if not, then it’s not worth it. Which is a shame because a name like Solo Leveling sounds like a limit breaking or status quo breaking (gifted or otherwise) type of thing I’d be SO interested in.
