2,816 actually. I got bored and counted. Notice that every time he would add a layer on top, he would double it. The original side was 22 bricks, times that by four which is 88. Then just multiply it by itself a few times and bam.

Well. The architect of that building is called Santiago Calatrava and he has gotten sued multiple times for his projects. Not a good sign. He designed a glass bridge for Venice. The bridge got dangerously slippery when it rained. So the city sued him for the overprice caused by solving that and another problems with the bridge. And the city won and he got a 78k euros fine on top of that.

i LOVE the way the light highlights the bricks and makes it looks pixelated
I wonder if at the top you could split the sides out into tentacles-ish things that twist around each other or even flare out like a sunflower.
