When LEGO bricks get seriously twisted
Ойын-сауық
Sometimes even I think I’ve exhausted the interesting possibilities in certain bricks, but then builds like these happen and I’m genuinely shocked at how simple, and absolutely astounding they are. I suspect there is no end to the amazing builds yet to be discovered-and I will keep trying. : )

Piece counts for all Twisting Towers (in 1x2 bricks):
Blue Twisting Square: 2816
Yellow Twisting Triangle: 2496
Orange Twisting Pentagon: 3520
Build Height: 124cm / 48.5in in 128 layers
Note: I did sneak in a few 1x1 bricks at the top of each build to even out the top layer so these are not pure 1x2 brick builds-but they’re dangerously close.

This looks so illegal
What I love most is how the solid color makes the structure look completely homogeneous, but then the light sweeps over it and reflects off of the individual bricks in almost a scale-like or pixelated pattern, it just feels so unreal.

Yeah, I was saying to myself the whole video about that I love the way light reflects off of low-poly things. Of course, this usually takes place in video games, but also in real life. Like the indentations in a door, or shattered glass on a bar's floor(wanted to say "..., or the blades of grass on the forest floor, neither of which are very low-poly. 3d prints- however, are usually more like this. Juuuuust wanted to make a little rhyme :) ).

I only recently learned what makes an “illegal” build for LEGO; but isn’t that specifically for like competitions and featured build events? When it comes to stuff like this I can’t imagine that even the diehards are gonna make a fuss… … … actually never mind; when I was watching the first part I recall thinking aloud “and a thousand Master Builders are screaming in unison ‘you aren’t supposed to strain the bricks like that!!!’”

@@TheMulToyVerse From what I understand 'illegal' just means you should avoid it if you want the bricks to last because it can damage them through undue stress. Sometimes that doesn't matter as much as doing something cool 😊

I think this is one of my favorite pieces you’ve made. It really looks more like art than a Lego build.

To be honest I’d say it and a lot of other things on this channel qualify as art. They push the boundaries of what’s possible within an outsider sculptural medium (LEGO)
This is art, I would go to a museum to see these pieces
Building sculptures out of LEGO is like unlocking the inner child architect in all of us. Who needs an IKEA instruction manual when you have a pile of colorful bricks to create unique and magnificent sculptures? Now, if only LEGO could solve our real-life building problems just as easily.

it always starts out so simple, with a piece here and a piece there, then it just turns into such amazing art. i love the reflection and texture, and the sweeping curves. always so beautiful.

It''s like he wants to show how a ton of simple things can create something highly complex. Kind of like in a computer...
These videos are always a lesson in machining tolerances. You can get it close; sometimes damn close, but it is never perfect... And when it's not, this guy comes along to turn your tower into a spiral. It is a good lesson for engineers.
The simplistic magnificence of this build made me order 1500 1x2s to build my own.
This guy is really getting some good use out of his cloning machine
All your builds never fail to amaze me. I love these so much, I'd put them around my house for decor
Very impressive! As usual, the repeated doubling of the primitive assembly leads to a surprising shape, while making for a succinct video presentation. Each of the towers you built appears to be just shy of a complete half-twist after 5 doublings (32 copies of the primitive), independent of the number of sides. I'm curious if I'm mistaken, and how many more layers are required to complete the half-twist? Also, the camera shots down the tubes are awesome, and it's always good to see caveman-for-scale! 😎

I haven't done the math, but each type of twist covers a different percentage of a full rotation. There are many additional variations possible as well. I've just scratched the surface.
Wow, there's something about this one that strikes me as "beautiful architecture". Excellent work, despite this being one of your simpler builds.

Art! The tipping point where the resulting shape / visual becomes more important than the materials the object is made from. This was stellar brick bending.
This ain't even illegal building techniques anymore, this is a lego felony 😭
when you think it wont get any taller for the 4th time, he brings two more with different shape and color :D love it
It will be so mind blowing that that one vein in your brain explodes from the exposure of what had blinded you of such mind blowing lego builds.
The insides of all these looked SO nice! Super satisfying patterns!
Definitely some of the most beautiful forms on this channel!
The inside shots were literally jaw dropping for me. Incredible!
The way it reflects light is absolutely mesmerizing.
I love the lighting and the presentation!
I love how the lights reflect off of the bricks! It's like bonus flair!
Adding the previous amount of blocks is always so satisfying to watch
The view inside is fantastic! Cool video.
Amazing!! Love how they make that cool design when you look down into the tunnel!!
I really like the art shots at the end
I have been binge watching these videos for the last 2 days and they are just proving to me that the universe could be recreated using only Lego bricks. This is insane
The inside shot is trippyyy!!!
This guy will forever be one of my comfort youtubers🥰 God bless youtube
You're back!!!! Welcome back, mind blowing video for sure. The tunnel views were awesome 👌
So glad to have found this channel! Thanks for these brick bending ideas for my crazy skyscrapers!
Everthing on this videos Is stunning
The blue sculpture reminds me of skyscraper designs like that of the Evolution Tower in Moskow or the Cayan Tower in Dubai

Inside the blue sculpture at 2:35 really gives me flashbacks to the Forest Temple in Zelda OOT.
This man is very dedicated to showing nothing but his arms and hands
Wow. These are just gorgeous.
Awesome, as always
Amazing! I want those internal shots as my desktop wallpaper!!
truly masterful. great work
Absolutely brilliant. With a little extra rigging I could see this incorporated into a lego city as a postmodern skyscraper!
2:33 Nah man that's crazy, your videos are so cool the way you bend mere Lego bricks into magnificent structures, Respect.
Projects like this ought to be headline news.
Excellent roll of the orange tower 😁👍
I seriously believe that, if given enough bricks, this man would make an entire building out of legos, and then make a non Euclidean world out of the spare parts
I wonder if this is what Penrose feels like, but there should be Lego in a material that can handle brick bending and not be ruined afterwards.
You must be a very, very patient man. Very awesome!
Its mind blowing how he even thought of such ideas, that it is possible to make such things with Lego. Hats off to your creativity!
Thank you for sharing
I'm always very satisfied with these videos, but I will admit... I'm glad it wasn't another wheel. Thanks for sharing!
The first one reminds me of that weird Prism thing from Evangelion. It looks so cool. I love it.
Actually gorgeous. They should make a set like lego but for art and/or sculptures basically!!! Its so fascinating!!
If I were watching a sci-fi movie and these things were just randomly rotating in the corner of some room I would not question it
at what point will this man learn his limits
Every time I thought it was done, he kept adding more on top.
There's a tower in a roundabout that's just like the first sculpture in my brother's city, It's shorter tho, but It's still really cool to watch as you go around It!

You could make a really neat skyscraper for a Lego city with this technique! I wonder if they make 1x2 bricks in metallic colors? That would look really nifty!

A few scuffed up bricks made it into the build at first, but they were really easy to spot and remove. I didn't want anything to interrupt that amazing surface. 😊
Somebody come hire this man to work for the official Lego creators
outtakes where parts snap would be cool, like a compilation
The light reflections are like a pixel art animation.
There should be a new lego series - lego sculpture! It's amazingly beautiful and aesthetically pleasing
I really love that these are made with such a humble, ordinary brick. What we call a two-ie in our family.
You are probably the sole reason LEGO are still in business!! Like how many pieces do you have, I thought I had a lot, but damn my collection looks pitiful compared to just what you shown here
when you have enormous amount of bricks and patience, you can do just about anything that imagination flows. I have none.
It looks like what a year 1 architecture student would make
They do blow my mind, I have no clue how you learned the powers of a brick bender. What they don’t do, is amass to a true macaroni build.
The shine is truly impressive

I love how he keeps doubling the additions
I've never wanted to go out and buy 8448 lego bricks so bad in all my life.
I can't even imagine what this dude's house looks like
This indeed blew my mind
2:36 I’m getting Forest Temple vibes.
Those inside shots look like math rock album covers
my anxiety shot straight up when pushing down on the tower without holding the middle or anything
It looks like a modern skyscraper, I like it. 😃
*this man destroys the pure construct of reality*
I love your videos! Keep it up mate!
These remind me of the book fair when they would sell the long eraser
Incredible. I know this is not really your thing, but how amazing would it be to build this kind of thing with gray, stony bricks and put windows in it and make a gnarly wizard's tower?!
if i made this first one as a kid i wouldve been so stressed out about the bricks snapping
Way he builds is like, take it or double it and pass it on to a whole new lol 😆 awesome Lego sculpture!
This looks like it would be a really cool looking sky scraper, dunno how safe it'll be though
2:35 perfect wallpaper for desktop/ipad
If this guy can summon lego pieces,he would create entire realm
This reminds me of Turning Torso in Malmö.
That went from lego building to a sculpture fast!
man. you broke the limit of lego
when he pulled out the other two i was just like "he's a man focus, commitment, and sheer f*cking will"
Me baked af every time he doubles it: 👁👄👁
I am so glad you did the inside shot, it was like the Twisted rooms from Ocarina of Time
So many lego pieces have probably been broken from these videos
New lego sky scraper desing!
Im like the marker from deadspace!
Im extremely happy with the result of the end i busted out in joy literally seconds of screaming
this guy is the last brick bender
Reminds me of the building in Malmö Sweden (Turning Torso)
So amazing
What blows my mind the most isn’t the build, it’s _where did you get so many identical bricks?_
i love the first one it looks like a skyscraper
