I saw one in the last few days where the driver wouldn't open her window to talk to the LEO. He told her he would break her window and then she pulled the "Oh I'm scared" card. When she was going 92MPH across a bridge but a man sworn to serve & protect her scares her. I'm sorry that is a bunch of S**T. A lot of the ones I've seen are under-educated black folks that have been taught by their parents "the police are bad. They only want to arrest black people and so on". One woman I'm thinking is in her late 20's kept saying she was afraid. The arresting officer said "M'am, there are 5 police officers out here there is nothing to be afraid of". If she indeed was guilty, the mire fact that it took 5 squad cars to stop her, scares me. All the white officers I have seen are always respectful to their detainees. Where as a couple of black officers from a town that is famous for being the southern most city in the USA are a bit rough around the edges but thinking what they have to go through no, they were just fine. So many times the comments really say it all.

Like my dad use to get drunk and try to pass down this knowledge its like "why did mom get me reduced lunches then? You sure just you don't know how to apply for it?" He got angry "its because she is a woman if I did it they would never giving us it." ITs like you name is on the damn forms to lol, you just didn't how to ask to apply lol. My people have an unhealthy fear over badges given what's been happening to our community. Need I remind you of how many black people were at the wrong end of a cop and lost their lives?. Maybe she didn't hear the cop's instruction clearly. Am I making excuses for her? No. But even then I stil remember the first time I got stopped by cops while walking home from school. And this was middle school so 95-96. They told me I fit the profile of who they were looking for until they saw my ID and let me go. But after everything that's happened, my town's badges now come to your door in UC gear knowing that some people don't like badges.

  • @MissesLordi

@@FrankWolenczak it is true that we can't begin to understand what it is like for your community, but... if you don't hear instructions clearly, do you start running while yelling to the other person to take off? Even fearing cops? For sure the cop doesn't stand there thinking "Ah, never mind she's gone" but charges get added up (if there are at all) as soon as she gets caught. It does suck for your community, and my blood boils when I see entitled cops, or simply knowing that you fear for your lives on a daily basis when you only get pulled over, but it doesn't justify somebody running away from a police officer, endangering their lives and their positions, and saying "I don't HAVE nothing". Usually in other videos people say "I didn't DO nothing", she already knew what she was getting stopped for. That being said, I'm sorry for what happened to you as a kid. The situation really sucks. And it's important that you keep speaking up. Just... in this case, the first person can't fit the description of a wrongfully accused person AT ALL. I know you were not justify her actions, but they can't also be explained away.

There was a woman in Chicago who was a very famous panhandler. She worked an area around Daley Center on Clark Street and South on Clark. She was a sympathetic figure, a large, mother-like person, who never said a word. She stood where people were walking and held out a Styrofoam cup with a heartfelt plea for money. She was usually in the throes of great emotion, often crying all the while. But at one point there were so many complaints, while the police couldn't immediately charge her with anything, a local newspaper investigative reporter ran a "sting" on her. They had several reporters with hidden video cameras (rather bulky; this was the late 80s) and simple disguises -- hats, glasses, jackets, scarves, etc -- to subtly change their appearances. They set up in multiple places along a commuter rail line she hung out around, and watched her as she rode the train into the suburbs. At one point, she went into the rest room on the train, and came out dressed vastly differently. Even her big shopping bag looked different (she turned it inside out). The reporters watched her get off the train, and another reporter followed her to a large suburban home, where she was welcomed by a sweet looking family, who exclaimed things like "Mama, Mama, Mama's home!" A man came out and hugged her, and asked if she'd had a good day. Then they went inside. The newspaper checked property tax rolls for the house and found the owners' names. A bit of digging found pictures of the woman and her husband. An article said she held some executive position in downtown Chicago, while in reality, she "worked" long hours panhandling. Turns out they don't give a W-2 for panhandling, so the IRS was very eager to talk to this woman. She'd been lying to everyone. No executive job in the city. She had tried to find one, but quickly learned she could make substantially more panhandling than at a proper job. Especially when you don't file taxes on what you get. This woman was too lazy to spend the time and effort to find, get, and work a real job. Standing on street corners holding a cup and looking pathetic was easier. Nothing written on the cup she held out was true. It had been carefully written and "tuned" over time to gather as much sympathy as possible. The newspaper sent someone to the house while the woman was working, and talked to the husband, who worked out of his home. They showed him videos of his wife on the corners in the Loop, showed her getting on the train. Showed her going into the bathroom and coming out with clothes changed. Saw her arrive at home, and seeing himself welcome her home "from the salt mines". They were ready when the woman got home. The kids were at the husband's parents home. Police were waiting, and they arrested her on a raft of charges, especially given panhandling was actually illegal. Cops just turned to turn a blind eye, figuring they have a bad enough life. Except when they don't have a bad life at all, lie about it, and evade taxes. Panhandling for something that isn't true is a form of fraud.

Of course, there are people genuinely in need with no other idea of what to do than beg, but there are also people making a better than decent living at it. All you have to do is shed your self-respect and stand on a corner with your hand out. Must seem like easy money to some.... especially in Florida.

Tells the story of a man who goes out and begs with an elaborate costume but when his beggar alter-ego gets caught in a crime scene he can't keep it up, especially with Holmes on the case.

I eventually figured out what you were trying to say, but someone like me shouldn't have to work that hard to decipher what should be a fucking simple sentence. I mean, you make a fair point, in terms of WHAT you're trying to say, but your HOW is absolutely fucked.

Wrong. "Kevins" are names given to people who are obliviously stupid and ill-informed about common worldly knowledge whether malicious or innocent so long as what they said and what they done constitutes as something stupid or baffling. "Darren/Daren" is correct term for a male karen but because it hasnt caught on yet so many still refer to then as male Karen's.

A policeman can't just walk up to someone watering their grass and ask for ID. But when you're running from a store you have stolen from and you have stolen goods on you, YOU ARE SUSPECTED OF A CRIME AND THEREFORE NEED TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF

I forgot to pay for an item once. Like most times, I didn't grab a cart or basket, so I put a few items in my pockets. Paid for everything at checkout, but when I got home I realized I had something in the front pocket of my hoodie, I think it was a toothbrush but can't remember. Like any other responsible adult, I called the food store and let them know I accidentally took something I didn't pay for. I took the package to customer service next time I was there and paid for it. Simple. And had I been stopped at the door, they could've reviewed the video and they'd have seen it was an honest mistake. Whatever course of action they'd choose to take, I'd cooperate and remain calm and civil. Being an adult really isn't that hard!
