An easy fix, put a sheet of paper in the top (preferably over one of those styrofoam sheets or whatever) and have little bit of information, as well as “THIS PC IS FULLY ASSEMBLED, COMPONENT BOXES INCLUDED AS PROTECTION” Edit: some people are putting the same post as me, just less words. During the order process, right above the "Confirm order" button (or whatever it is called), have something along the lines of "we will send you the PC fully built inside the case box, as well as the empty boxes for each component because such and such". Repeat that on the confirmation email and the email saying the order was shipped.

@end_slayer but all you have to do is pick up one of the boxes that supposedly has a component in it and realize it's empty, then pick up another and realize it's empty, then realize every box is empty except for the one that has the PC case and that it's exceptionally heavy for a pc case that's supposedly empty
I would put a flashy note that grabs your attention. at the bottom of the note would say something like, we supply the boxes of all the components in your PC. This way in the event of a warranty claim or you upgrade a component in your PC you have a box to store the part in to sell or to ship.
Just put a cool poster saying "ZachsTechTurf Appreciates your patronage, your Pc is already built and ready for gaming"

That name has lost all its meaning..... Ruined it.
As a professional Karen,I can confirm this is true
One idea is to put a printed out note that says the component boxes are for people wanting to upgrade and that the computer is built already or something like that
Include some sort of quick start sheet that the customer will see when opening the box that explains you included the boxes for their parts as they are off the shelf parts. It can be worded in a way that it just sounds like a convivence factor for the customer rather then like it is directed at the people that think you just sent them parts but it should be worded in a way that makes it obvious the pc is fully assembled in the case box. You may still get a couple people thinking you just sent parts in the future, but if you got enough of them that you felt you had to make a video about it then this may help. I have only ever gotten a pre built twice but both times I actually requested they send the boxes for the parts. Both times though for some reason I never got the box for the CPU.
@ZYZErbx
14 күн бұрын
CPU was probably bought second hand by the company
Maybe include a brief note on the packing slip explaining exactly what you explained in the short… “Your pre-built PC is contained in the PC Case Box. We’ve included the original parts boxes for your convenience, if ever you decide to sell your parts.”

You need a giant poster on top that states in giant letters "fully assembled" and then in smaller letters stating that they are empty part boxes for their convenience to RMA or sell. You may also want to stamp the other box in giant red letters "fully assembled". Probably still get a few people complaining but you can point to the giant red letters.
I have been working in Customer Service for a little over 10 years now and I still hear/read some very colorful vocabulary. Some of which are very well articulated that you would think it was premeditated but it's not. I used to hate complaints, but now I welcome them. I take it as a challenge to have the customer satisfied at the end of their interaction with me. Money is a very sensitive matter, more so than most think, and I completely understand. If you're serious about having a CSSR, I'm your guy. I'd be happy to respond and/or speak to them with the guarantee to resolve the issue with excellent customer service. :) For what it's worth, I'm just a dad gamer trying to fight the struggle everyday
Dude EZ, just put a sticker on the PC box that says open first and pre built (facing the costumer on opening, and on the site mention that pc's are shipped like that)! Fixed your issue. Also thank you for your service!
I am too early and some people are just like that.

Yeah that's the most logical thing if they're afraid to open it which is fair. Carry the box if it's heavy some is inside...
When I got my first PC (I was around 12-13 years old) I though that I was going to have to build it myself because of the boxes, but I wasn't stupid enough to not open the other box and see that my PC was assembled and that the company just sent the boxes as an extra.
Nah, some companies are just evil like that, they'll claim that since you opened it now it can't be returned/replaced.
People are genuinely that stupid. I work in IT/client support and I swear some people truly lack any sense at all of critical thinking. Instead of trying to do a little bit of thinking or reading a document or even fully reading an email they instantly reach out and can be super entitled.
I would genuinely be customer support just to tell them to look at their “empty case”
"Ma'am, if you opened your fucking eyes"
I have worked at a call center for 5 years and I'm very techy. If you're looking for someone (customer service ) i am more than happy to work with an amazing person like you.

😂 Well, have you tried starting your new PC? 😂
used to work at a front desk in a high end Collision shop... and This is 10000% true....
POV: me intentionally complains to stress him out even more
this is a smart way of announcing open spots for customer service jobs
I would totally work customer service just to tell someone to look in the box 😂
I have to deal with people like this on occasion lol, I have no problem with calmly explaining stuff like this to them!
Leave a note there. Put them in both side of the box. Some prebuilt companies also put a sticker on the IO shield so the customer won't use the wrong display output. Something like: PC is already built. Open your case box for your PC. These boxes are the original box with components inside your PC.
And to add a note on either side of the box on the PC case stating. Fully built computer Please store component boxes
Stickers. “Completely assembled pc.” Or “open box before open mouth.” 🤪
« Your refund has been denied as you opened the product »
Might be a smart choice to put a print out on top with a reminder that original packaging of the components is included, definitely would save time and money dealing with it. Just big bold letters on a page saying “Original component packaging included for your upgrading convenience” on front, and a few small details on back saying something like “ While you may not need the original packaging for your everyday use, if you want to upgrade any components the original packaging can be used for better trade in/resale value” and, if you wanted to make it custom to each box, have a list of included items. Just having a bunch of print outs without the contents would probably save time in the long run
Literally them: why the hell is there random boxes? did they not assemble it?
Lol hire me, you'll never have complaints again!!
Not only is it good to get the boxes in which your pc parts came from but you can reuse the boxes when selling pieces of your pc as you upgrade as well as you can use it for wall art
Answering those calls would be my dream job 😂
Bro, I worked for Disney and various other guest-focused theme park/attractions places. The amount of folks asking when the "three o'clock parade starts" with NO IDEA OF WHAT THEY JUST SAID, I get it. And I'll happily send my resume lol

I know that it is common sense to open the box up but you could also but a disclaimer on the website saying something like “the parts boxes are part of the order and it doesn’t mean that it is not assembled” hope that helps
This is the same when a person opens a pizza box upside down and he complains that there is no cheese it's just the bread MY BROTHER IN CHRIST LOOOK

I worked at this place as a cashier. I was punching in this woman's purchases (we didn't have barcode readers) and she was watching me closely. After awhile, she suddenly piped up and practically accused me of charging her extra with each entry. I said no, that it was the machine automatically adding the tax with each item. She wasn't convinced, and called my manager, who affirmed what I said. Then the receipt printed out, and there was nothing out of place. She cross-checked it with her items, then gave us a look and walked away. This was an early model Karen, before they evolved into the unhinged wackos of today.
Karen never even watched ztt, yet buys a whole computer from them. Then proceeds to annoy the hell outa zack
In my profession, the amount of times i come across people that dont have their device turned on is staggering.

Yeah, I'm a Customer service department head at my job, and everyone will complain about stuff before even fully looking. I'm really good at handling it at this point tho
To avoid these kinds of situation id suggest putting a paper right where the box is opened clarifying that the PC is fully built and that you need to open the box and check if they are present
Quick solution. Put a note on the PC box saying “PC IS FULLY BUILT, THESE ARE EMPTY BOXES” or something along those lines on the front so that’s the first note they see
Just put a little note that says "parts inside case, pc is built" 😂
Put a big slip with fat red letters that say “Fully built pc contained in case” or something
Yes, just put it as a line in the purchase confirmation that the package will include the empty boxes of complements in bold somewhere
That's so fucking smart. I treat my mobo box better than my actual mobo. 😂
That just gave me permanent brain damage
Ah yes, when I’m shipped a box containing boxes for all the PC parts in the PC I ordered, I immediately think “oh yeah, there’s a fully built PC ok the case box”
Lol from what age are you hiring😂
It's true, when you work in the retail business you will see a lot. A LOT.
I have an idea, put a sticker on the actual pc saying “ *PARTS ARE INSIDE PC FULLY BUILT, BOXES AROUND THIS ARE JUST IN CASE YOU WANT TO SELL THE PARTS* ”
I would’ve been too excited to assume it wasn’t built, I would’ve freaked out maybe, but in desperation I would have checked thoroughly and eventually figured it out
Easy solve either put it as a checkbox disclaimer on your order form so they have to read it before accepting, or the easier option just print off two sheets of paper saying, "Don't worry your built PC is in here, these part boxes are empty for extra protection", place one on the bottom face down and the other on top face up, Id have suggested just the one piece on top but you've already established your buyers are dumb so wouldn't surprise me if they open the package upside down.
I bought a computer recently from CCL. It was a pretty good build but once it arrived I was confused as there was the box of the motherboard and I expected to find more boxes with parts in them but i remembered that they literally sent emails saying that they built it and tested it. I found the PC as it’s the largest thing in there. 4 weeks later I received a new mouse from ChillBlast as promised by the CEO for the long wait. (ChillBlast owns CCL).
Just put a note "please, be aware that the assembled PC is on the big box, inside the case"
Tech support. Did you turn the pc off and on. Ooo did you take it out of the box. 😂😂😂😂
I bought my first more expensive pc as a prebuilt and I got so scared when I saw all of the component boxes lmao
Just put a paper with "THE EMPTY BOXES ARE FOR YOU TO ENJOY" (bold, underline empty) inside the box.
Maybe a PC Inside sticker would help these Karens 😂
Just add a check box on the website to include component boxes, it can be auto-checked and have no price associated.
I work in retail :D and I will happily take care of these customers for ya anyday!
Print on paper: PC in this box. Then point to the box with an arrow.😂
The full saying is 'the customer is always right... In matters of taste'
At my last job I was prepping a bunch of new CAD computers and didn't remove the dust covers from the GPU. Got a nasty email from the CAD manager about how his guys need multiple monitors and I was ruining their workflow 🤦
Amen bro. Work in cons rel for a company that bundles software with hardware. I get so many of those phone calls.
You can print on the case box that it is fully built and the other boxes are for protection or smth
This is by far one of the more tame customer support issues. They were probably sending a nasty email, but anyone could easily make that mistake.
Sending them to box also gives them the ability to RMA apart after your warranty period ends
Love the idea of shipping the boxes too!
Just put in a piece of paper that says “pc is assembled and in the case box”.
