Imagine you're some great and powerful Necromancer controlling things for years and someone casually turns you into a sheep and yeets you into a endless void...lol I love it.

Best part, it really IS an endless void I'm pretty sure. So after a few rounds, he's going to revert to his true form and just keep falling. And he's undead, so he could be falling forever and not die. Pretty rough way to go.

Technically your own fault for not having compulsively looted the man while he was still alive.

The thief way: you can reverse pickpocket him and stuff his pockets with sussur flowers, which leaves him basically unable to do anything at all

I killed the hoggoblin boss, broke the throne under him, and then pushed him into the abyss, polymorph is almost a classic compared to this.

Its really great being able to skip dialog you have already heard and going straight for the kill now

Oh, I encountered Balthazar way earlier and murderhoboed him straight away. Never saw him in there. Also shadowheart ❤️😍

If you're not starting the fight through dialogue line then just have someone with counterspell. In this case you can cancel his summonings. Before that you can also pickpocket his potion of speed so no "haste". After that you can just beat him with salami.

U can meet him before this scene on the left side of the gaunlet with less summons and less space. The the horn to get the big guy and use the big guy to fight the demon, then jump balts after, its will be just him and 4 undead. Then he doesnt show up once u enter the shadowfell. Even if you want to rp abit shadowheart thinks hes defiling the temple so it works either way.

THATS WHAT I DID ON MY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH! I felt like a genius. Although it took me 2 casts of polymorph and multiple pushes, I got it 😁

i casually tried this since i was unable to win the fight, and it worked haha

Ah yes, ye old "Yeet the Sheep" method. I had a lot of trouble beating him and ended up shoving him off a cliff like I did with most bosses I struggled with lol.

It's funny how hard I had to reload in order to persuade Shadowheart away from that .. when by default if you just don't interfere she spares Nightsong. If you slightly interfere, then she does kill her, and then you need to succeed at persuading if you want to keep Nightsong alive.

I polymorphed this guy and just have Karlach throw him over the edge. Good times 🤣

Fiona Du'Varia's Dark Urge having enough of Balthazar's attitude uses Polymorph on him as Minthara seeing this as a cue for some fun pushes the sheep off a cliff. Minthara: "Now that was most fun, my dear friend. Just like the old days." Fiona Du'Varia (returning to her senses): "Wha... what? What happened? Where is Balthazar?" Shadowheart: *Snickers* "Oh dear..." Astarion: *Busts out laughing and then rolls on the ground*

Fun tidbit, if you Banish the fuck you can move the Dame Ayelin around while he's gone :) Not as immediate as a polymorph-shove, but far funnier to interrupt concentration. Skips the whole pre-fight dialogue too!

Shadow hearts stance makes her outfit look even more ridiculous lmao.

on my first playthough I yeeted him off the cliff with one of those thunder arrows, but after he spawned all his dudes

If you want to keep his loot, you can cheese the battle by moving all the bone piles to a single spot and AOE them once combat starts. Balthazar is way easier to take on alone

If you can do stuff like this in the base game I can’t wait to see what creative kidders will do

My good Brother have you heard of Okoii?

I play in Tactacien mode and make same move to kill him. (not use polymorph, just psuh) but when i see him recall in spectral form, my mind was so fucked. So i 've apply the basic ! "here we go again". Tactacian mode is really interesting because you search all the possibilty you have to mindbreak the game. I enjoy so much make boss kill themself (Keteric Thorn you re my deeply love when you jump by yourself in this green pit)

It frustrates me to no end that i keep forgetting i can adjust my party memebers position in most conversations. One to many fights have gone poorly (this one included) because of poor placment.😅

"when it's not your first playthrough" You take his brother to fight Yurgir and kill the brother in the process. Then go back to Balty's bedroom and merc him. :D

always amazes me that ppl let balthazar survive so lnog that he's still there when you go to nightsong :) also. on one hand, killing nightsong is incredibly evil...on the other hand...shouldn't hand out such a pathetic reward for letting her live compared to that ultra useful spear than makes warlocks so much more powerful with shadow in the party O:)

That's what I actually did on my first playthrough, fight was so bullshit I turned him into a sheep a kicked him out of existence

You can kill balthazar when you first meet him, in that room near the entrance. That’s if you don’t take Gale and Wyll both with counterspell reactions. If you do take them se two, they will counterspell his zombie summon at the platform where Aylin is and it will just be balthazar all alone.

It's a mod actually! Majority of canon armor covers everything and looks protective. There are some more open "armors" that look like dresses but they can be worn by any gender so its not typical "women only wear bikini armor" situation
