I'm Thai. I found this just a random funny clip regarding the stereotype. Many Thais took it too seriously and lived lacking a sense of humor. And even I saw Thai clips insulting Chinese accents more than the clip like this. Our popularity is so damn low. Just one hilarious clip about them made them find a whole new world. Sometimes, we should wait around 30-50 years and then reconsider. Let's time changes people. Cheers !

Hes a comedian though. Lately Thailand has been acting all butthurt against even domestic comedians as well, I'm not sure this is the future we want for our country.

I am Thai and the accent you are speaking is not a Thai accent, it is a Chinese English accent., I was born until I was 30 years old. I have never met a Thai person who speaks with an accent like yours.😏

@@VSL_babyface I think it's normal for the country that English is not its official language. If you expect non native speaker to have American/British accent or correct grammar from locals, I think that's your problem. If you may know, other countries have their own accents and it's funny if you do not understand that this is so normal. (Next time you visit Thailand, you may try going to the places you can expect very good English accents like 5-star hotels or luxury rooftops)

It's deeply disappointing to witness mockery aimed at non-English speakers and their accents. Imagine how it would feel if another non-English speaking country ridiculed the Chinese-English accent. As someone living in Australia, I've found myself teaching my Australian-born children to embrace and respect the Thai-English accent to effectively communicate with my parents in Thailand. Thankfully, they've never looked down upon Thai people. It's important to note that there are even stronger Chinese-English accents that can be more challenging to understand than Thai accents. However, I've never condoned mockery of these accents, nor have I encouraged my children to do so. Respect for others is paramount, a value that seems to be lacking in the behavior displayed in this video. If genuine remorse is felt for the harm caused, the responsible action would be to remove this video altogether.

I do agree that there is a line between comedy, respect, and ignorance when it comes to teaching and helping others improve through such content but pls also rant and educate under famous content creators and comedians videos who are way more well known in doing contents like “making fun of other and my own countries accents” since from what I can see those people get way more praise and famous but when this man does it it’s offensive so yeah elaborate on that and educate those people as well

I really like Thailand my favorite Travel destination. I have to say this guy is American born Chinese, he doesn’t represent the image of China. Even his mother tongue is Chinese, he is working in China as celebrity English teacher. His audiences are mostly from mainland China. I used to be his fan, but his acting now is too sarcastic and offensive not my cup of tea.

I do agree that such contents should really focus and involve more learning a language properly but pls also rant and educate under famous content creators and comedians videos who are way more well known in doing contents like “making fun of other and my own countries accents” since from what I can see those people get way more praise and famous but when this man does it it’s offensive so yeah educate those people as well

身為一個會流利泰語的人... 泰國人講英文最大的問題就是把音譯詞跟英文混在一起，很多泰國人覺得泰文外來音譯詞外國人能聽懂，其實我也常聽不懂，後面只好妥協改說泰式英語，沒辦法😅 至於泰國人覺得被冒犯只能說就是這樣了，整個泰國即使是唸到大學畢業的很多也還是講泰式英文，他們習慣了覺得自己沒講錯，老外能聽懂你一個中國人憑什麼來糾正取笑我們，哈哈！ 老外不是真的都聽懂，而且去泰國的老外多不是英語系國家😅

I don't get why people are so upset by this. People mock different accents in different countries all the time. Even if it's not the native tongue. White people are always doing it with French, Spanish, English, and German. It's just a comedic video that isn't intended to hurt anyone. Nor is it intended to stereotype. Plenty of language learning channels create content like this.
