When Impossible Is the Only Way Out - 2 Timothy 1:7

When Impossible Is the Only Way Out - 2 Timothy 1:7 - Victor Marx, Special Guest Speaker at Calvary Albuquerque.
MESSAGE SUMMARY
In 2 Timothy, the apostle Paul wrote to the young pastor Timothy to urge him to remain steadfast in his faith and ministry. As we study this verse from chapter 1, we look at Paul's call to be bold in Christ. Guest speaker Victor Marx weaves his personal testimony into this powerful message as he addresses fear, redemption, marriage, purity, and forgiveness.
Victor Marx is the founder and president of All Things Possible Ministries, a national faith-based organization. He has worked with troubled youth for two decades. His presentations both inspire and motivate listeners. Primarily focused on incarcerated youth and at-risk high school students, Victor brings a straightforward message about the traps of today and provides answers on how to avoid them.

God has given us the Power of a Sound MInd! As one who has been studying, and dealing with mental health issues for many years this apparently straightforward statement needs very careful "unpacking".

As many people are abused one way or another, most hide it though they unwittingly show the effects of it.. Even though in a room full of quiet people--uncomfortable people--words of wisdom reaches 1 in 3 or 3 in 10 but they are embarrassed to say "That's me". It was not until many years after I gave my life to Christ Jesus that I finally understood where He was when I was abused by daddy. Though I didn't remember any that daddy and others did to brother and me, it wasn't until adulthood that I figured out why: He not only took my sins away, He absorbed my memories of abuse because He knew I could not handle them as a child... I would have killed myself. When God felt that I was ready, He gave back those memories and feelings so they could be dealt with properly and effectively. It was hard, but I did forgive. I learned from Skip Heitzig that forgiveness is not about "forgetting" as we often think when God forgives us of our sins, but forgiveness is about taking away the power that sin has to be counted against us. I forgave my dad though I remember. I remember when I share my ever-expanding testimony about God's love to protect His dear children... all of us children however we need!

I loosen the word of 2 timothy 1:7, jeremiah 30:17, 2 corinthians 6:14-18, matthew 6:24, 1 john 3:10 binding for myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, my opponents and the body of Christ to have, keep and being restored to a sound mind with love and self discipline during all circumstances while binding one to keep one's mind sound while not being controlled by demons or another human being, binding myself and the body of Christ not being unequally yoked with and have any common share with any evildoer serving satan in not having and keeping a sound mind with love and self-discipline while being controlled by demons or other human beings, binding every lack of self control of the spirit to the pit of hell and loosened from my life, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
