This is a long story, but I just wanted to comment..... When we were both school children we met, spent all of our free time together and became inseparable. We first kissed at age 9 and were boyfriend/girlfriend in that cute school-age way. We stayed that way until she moved away age 15. It killed us both but she had no choice, her dad was in the military and got posted abroad. We stayed in touch, writing letters, telling each other how much we loved each other and missed each other. Every week without fail. Then she wrote me the best letter I've ever had, she was coming back home. She was 18 and decided to come back to study at the University local to me. She was so happy, I was so happy. We truly were soul mates. She told me she wanted us to be married as soon as possible. The minute she landed back on UK soil, she called me from the airport (this was a long time before mobiles or the internet), just a quick call to say she was back and that she loved me and would be seeing me in 4 hours time. Those 4 hours were the longest of my life...and then that stretched into 6 hours, 10, 2024 music, a few days, a week type shi. I was utterly frantic. No news. Then I saw her family moving in to the same house they'd left all those years ago. I ran up to her older sister, begging her to tell me what was going on. She'd been killed in a car crash on the motorway coming back to me. Her family, in their grief and pain, never called me to tell me. Gone forever. All I have now is photos, letters and memories. That was over 30 years ago. I'm still not over her. I've loved, even been married but no one else ever came close. She was the one. I still dream of her. Not every night, not even every week but at least once a month. My Carti
