This series on the Huns has probably been the best on your channel so far. Every episode has an intriguing cliffhanger at the end. Probably I feel this way because I know very little about the Huns and this period in general...

These are my favourite topics from history as they are always overlooked and obscure 😭 but soo fascinating nonetheless.
Thanks for the excellent well studied narration of the mostly hidden period of history of that particular time. The term Tamgha remained peculiar in the subsequent Turkshahi & Hindushahi rulers of Afghanistan of the later period.

Amazing series ❤
Great intro to the invasion of the Great White Hun. I would be pleased if you'd shed light on how this nomad invader may have implicated in the decline of Buddhism which began more noticeably during the time of Gupta. By the way, Xuan Zang is pronounced as 'Sh-yen' Zāng.

0:02 According historical records in 500ce Pushyabhuti Power emerged near Thanesar it's fact or mythical character ?? / Or may be Nāravardhana is 1st ruler of Empire of Harsha in 525ce approx or 1st ruler Pushyabhuti 500ce ? But we know that defeat of the Huna emperor Mihirakula by King Yashodharman at Sondani in 528 CE

Huns and other nomadic invaders didn't had any organized religion so they easily assimilated into us. Same thing happened to Mongols and Turks, when they came into contact with Islam and middle East, they converted to Islam.

I have a very stupid question to ask, I dk if it has any connections or not l, so In Rajput, there are divisions by Kula which refers to the lineage and clan they used to belong to and There are many among them There are one particularly unique Huns Rajputs living in the, UP and Bihar region, and they also have different facial and physical characteristics like their eyes skin body structure are different there any way possible they could be connected in anyway or is it just the same name and different physical appearance is just a coincidence.
@JayVardhanSingh

Hard to say as we don't have any full genetic profile of different Rajput clans.
Hlo Would you please bring the series on origin of Martial races in India(especially Jats) because there is lot of confusion and also many scholars related it to indo synthians and with other invaders.

@@arnavpandey3779 The invading forces generally were following Shanamism initially, as they settled in Western Punjab many converted to Buddhism. Then later as they settled in North Western India some converted to Hinduism. They got culturally influenced by the region they occupied and adopted the religious/cultural practices of their subjects. This is in sharp contrast to islamic or european invaders who followed abrahamic religions. Most likely Tormana adopted Vaishnavism and his son Mihirkula followed Shaivism.

@@vitthapx What do you mean by "Ganga/Hindu civilization". This is the first time I have heard such a term. 'Hindu' comes from Sindhu and not Ganga. How can a group of people who actually destroyed Gangetic plains Guptas, and against whom Guptas struggled during all their rule, be considered to have become "part of us"? And you obviously have no idea about the brutality of invasions prior to Turks and why Indic spiritual process had become so obsessed with moksha/nirvana and not really spiritual attainment (like for example, how Ravana of Lanka did). Considering every fool to be a "Hindu" will make us weaker and not stronger. This was a British conspiracy, it did not emerge from within. Two major invasions - by Greco-Macedonians under Alexander and Huns - precede Turkic invasions and were a major cause of destruction of real Vedic society which modern Hindus have no real clue about. Most Hindus are just for namesake only. Turks too were Central Asian nomads like Huns, at least to me it is not surprising at all, why these invasions happened.
