Only thing Hikaru hates more than bad chess is bad chess played by him. I think most Hikaru videos have at least one, "What am I doing? I was better, but I messed it up" said in a tone of absolute disgust.

06:42 Hikaru missed "d7!!", where you give a Rook for free temporarily, but then d7 wins a tempo on an overloaded black Queen, with pawn promotion imminent (in short: d7 is a hidden, multi-purpose move, which actually achieves A LOT of things!). Even if black tries to blockade the pawn, they lose back both Rook and Bishop while the d7 pawn is protected by the white Bishop. Completely winning for white... Hikaru knew the attack should work, and was mad at himself for not spending a few more seconds trying to spot the idea.

Yea its crazyyyy how most of GM games are dead even til the endgame.. So freakin crazy if u really think about it, they have the eval bar in their head, one slight move and u can see them saying "oh this is winning!" Or viceversa
