    man that officer in the second story with Jennifer is COMPASSIONATE 😭😭 it was reallllllly heartwarming hearing him speak with Jennifer in the car after she calmed down. I wish ALL police officers could be as empathetic as that guy. Man. What a nice guy with a generous heart, willing to emotionally connect with people. Even when they're being unpleasant (and breaking the law), he is able to look past that and remember that they are a human with feelings (well most of them are 😅), and show kindness and CARE for them and their feelings! it really goes a long way in making the situation go smoothly, and if they're lucky, it may even make a positive impact on that person's life!!!! really lovely to see it.

    I really don’t understand why American police don’t do a breath test straight away instead of doing a sobriety test. Here in the U.K. if police suspect a person of DUI a breath test is done immediately, refusal is an instant 1 year ban.

  • @ItsMeBarnaby

    @ItsMeBarnaby

    4 ай бұрын

    Breath test only accounts for alcohol. There are dozens of other substances that can cause someone to be unfit to drive, and most get combined with alcohol. If someone smells of alcohol but blows under the legal limit it doesn't mean they are fit to drive. Field sobriety test actually answers the question "are they fit to drive", not just "are they unfit to drive due specifically to alcohol".

He completely left out the part where the guy said to him he needed to sit and straight up lied about the part where he said that he "told him he was waiting for someone to get there" he in fact just sat there in silence starting at him. At 40:10 she said "I was just trying to tell you" and he responded "Three what?" At 40:36 she said "Pink lemonade" and the closed captioning said "The pink one's amazing." There were a BUNCH of things that both the police officer and whoever transcribed this got completely wrong. I think this woman was not only intoxicated but also probably has the beginnings of dementia, and it didn't help that she couldn't be understood so the questions he followed up with had nothing to do with what she had just said. That was totally confusing her. I hope she gets her license revoked, and also gets the care she obviously needs. Lastly, there is no evidence whatsoever that any of these people were grandparents, so I'm not sure why the whole "next-best things to Santa" aspect was brought in to this. I thought these were going to be cases where people had their grandchildren with them. It would have been more honest to just say that it was about seniors.

    Michael was just wirery....ive been a paramedic for 23 years. That cop was a douchebag. I love how he's literally asking if he can get him for obstruction because he doesn't even know. Honestly, if he'd let him grab his pack of cigarettes, the dude probably just would have shut up

    I do understand that, but the video is clipped. And it clearly looks like shes getting up in the crazy ladies buisness. Putting herself in a situation to be rammed with a cart. That's what shitty police do. And it almost seemed like she was tripping on power screaming at this mentally ill person who isn't going to do shit to her. The first 2 cops were golden examples.@@shaylatorch

    These cops obviously don’t understand that this poor old lady yes was drinking but because obviously has some Alzheimer’s setting in that her smiling and not understanding what’s going on it’s not her trying to be defiant or difficult she’s confused and for the officers to treat her so poorly it shows that they have no training in elderly behavior when they start having memory issues.

    Do you not understand that short-sighted people begin wearing glasses at a young age (7 years old in my case) and then go on to need other glasses for their near vision once they hit middle age (42 in my case) so we end up needing TWO DIFFERENT PAIRS OF GLASSES!!! She was just keeping both pairs with her so she could swap as required.

    The officer with the missing plates situation was in the wrong. He should have verified the T plates and ended the stop. Cops live by ABE. Always Be Escalating.

    I think every officer wants to bring a suspect to the ground to say they have done it. I have seen some pretty nasty police brutality videos, which is a disgrace to what I thought they stood for. I sometimes wonder if they are police officers or revenue officers. Times are hard for everyone since the pandexxx.

    ...they're revenue officers unfortunately. They protect the interest of a bourgeoise class. It all revenue based. There's no lessons or help offered, just fines and violence. The police are not good for de-escalation at all, especially not in the United States.
