Fun video. I would have done this with the oscillating tool with a plunge base. That would have been a neat way to solve the problem!

Some years ago we were cutting a hole in the boardroom conference table. The dark wood received a scratch from sliding a blanket (had a piece of something under it). Can you speak to how you prevented scratching this top? Looked like you were pretty casual about it.

Hi -- fun video! What is that crazy 2" (?) diameter drill bit that you used for the access holes! Is that a Festool bit? Thanks!

Collaboration ?? Shaper is from festool. They own it. 🤷 This is pure marketing. Advertisement for shaper from festool.

How cool is it that shaper tape is made up of dominoes? It's almost as if they were prepped for festool to acquire them. So cool!

At first, I thought the domino tape was to let the machine know where the Dominoes were located on the table….

How are you able to get an accurate grid in the middle of a big, live-edge table?

  • @Shapertools

We marked the table's centerline with a laser and pencil, then used an engraving bit as a pointer to make a grid aligned with the mark! Check out our Shaper Session on Origin Pro Tips to see a demo, around the 35-minute mark.

The joint down the table makes the two socket outlets look like they are pissed, not a good look at all

I have a Shaper and love it. But you guys do way too much editing on the video. Like setting up the grid, oh it's done. Cutting, oh it's done. Come on show the true speed of using this tool, otherwise, it's misleading.

And all of the chit-chat, I feel like I’m being over sold a Shaper - and I have one too! I want to get in, learn something new, and get out.

How fake can it be. There is no collaboration. Shaper is from festool. Festool bought shaper and the the previous ceo from shaper is the same ceo now. 🤷
