I’m always so glad when athletes realize that taking 20 seconds out of their day will make someones whole life. They’ll never forget it. I always have so much respect for athletes that understand that because many don’t. The shocked faces and happy tears say it all. Their idols are exactly who they thought they were and that’s everything. Pure class.

In my younger days I did that kind of work. We had strict instructions but sometimes the celebrities would give the ok to chat with tbier fans. And this was before selfies lol

It's so nice to see these sports stars giving their time for the fans. Whether it's a handshake and a hello to being given things, football shirts etc, it means so much to these people especially the kids. One that springs to mind is Brett Pitman. At every Pompey match I've been to I'd see him coming over, meeting young fans, signing autographs etc, and just giving a little bit of his time to the fans which is lovely to see. So heartwarming.

welp. I agree that the security a bit over reacted, but thats his job. they are always on instinct doing this thing. and besides the father of the kid agrees that his kid did a terribly wrong act. had the kid was 16 yrs old, definitely a jail time

This is why it’s so great when professional athletes realize that they are ambassadors of their sport. Not all of them think this way.

I can relate to the fan's side. I came all the way from Germany to watch the Boston Red Sox play at Fenway Park. My first time in 40 years. I had a jersey that I wanted to get signed but never dreamed of it really happening. And the person who interrupted an interview in the dugout for me, just to sign my jersey was no one less than "BIG PAPI" himself - #34 David Ortiz! And on top of it he blew my wife kisses and made her day too. A true gesture of kindness and a very emotional and beautiful moment in my life!

Yankees fan from NYC but that’s a nice story

Love a lot of these. A lot of players and athletes (including some in the video) forget what it was like to be the fan. These moments mean everything to them. 1 second of your life could mean a lifetime of joy for someone... Pulsic clip was great, lipe great... I've no idea who Gomez is... But he understands. The guy with Stanley cup gets it, the Footie player taking all the selfies gets it. I get that there's a lot that goes on that fans don't see regarding charity and everything else... But, just that one moment... In the moment is everything. One thing is certain... These athletes/players are nothing without Spectators yet they are everything to them. We always talk about not having enough time... But what is time without spreading happiness? It's a gift, a gift that these people can give easily like gods

4:46 in this video... Christian Pulisic (at that time he played for Borussia Dortmund/1. Bundesliga in GER) and that game was part of the Champions-tour in 2018 through the US. The game was against Liverpool in Charlotte, SC. I was at that game. I also am from Dortmund, and for the team it is normal to interact with the fans. During practice, after games... it is normal. So he couldn't understand why the boy was denied to take a picture.

The emotions from the fans are pure and real.

Now that's called sportsmanship ❤️

The smile's on there faces kept me smiling through the end☺☺

I remember that race very well, Verstappen had thrown him out forcing him to retire after a few corners and on the stands the cameras framed that little Ferrari fan, a nice gesture from Kimi that made a child happy and we lovers of Motorsport.
