Eminem is the goat. His music helped me get through a rough childhood and in my late teenage years seeing a man even with his kinda money get clean pushed me to get clean my self. We were on different drugs but a very similar addiction story like many others. I am now 8 years clean

Read the relapse story about robin Williams if you want or remember him. 20 years sober and relapsed. my mother was 8 years clean and relapsed. it happens every day. It's about what happens in life, just imagine his daughters die in a car crash, he got canceled weeks before and someone offers it to him. fate+momentum+bad luck+opportunity often ends in relapse

@@helpfulsquid2502 Eminem is a great guy who have dealt with drugs in his life and he was fortunate to get off it and I'm so happy that he is doing better today and I wish him the best on his journey plus he is one of the greatest hip hop artist of all time and he was inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame

When we lost Michael Jackson in 2009 I was deeply sadden and couldn't stop crying for months. Eminem for me would of been the same thing. Both artists inspire me in life. Thank God Em stopped being a drug addict when he did. I hope Eminem lives a long healthy life. I don't want him to die at such a young age like other famous music artists.

even though his music will still be around idk what i would do if this man died .. he’s the reason i keep going in life and i appreciate his existence . he’s like the father i never had growing up and though he doesn’t realize that or know it i appreciate him as a role model and father figure . so happy his life wasn’t cut short

This is why it pisses me off when people say that Eminem was better on drugs and they want him to go back on drugs. Like, do you not fucking realize that he almost fucking died? How selfish of you.

People always say Eminem is different now, because he stopped using drugs and he used to be way funnier while using. I say he is different now because of the fact that he DID use in the first place. Personality changes after drug abuse is real, but rather have this Eminem now than a dead one. Thanks for the video!

Rap God and many many other masterpieces wouldn't have been here if Eminem died in 2007. So glad he made through that tough situation and is still here!

I’m glad he’s alive hope can still keep living his life. I like Eminem. Eminem is my favorite rapper of all time I’m a fan of Eminem I glove his music so much

I almost lost my brother in a very similar way. Different choice in downers, and he didn’t have the money or connections Em did. I literally saw him brought back to life by EMTs. For two years I woke up every morning, praying my brother had too. If you haven’t experienced this, I pray you never do. I would text him every morning, with either selected lyrics or the entirety of 2 songs, Not Afraid and Beautiful. This weekend he gets his 60 day chip. I’m having a surprise party, and no joke… I’m more proud of him for this than when he graduated from college. I also forgot what a peaceful nights sleep was like, and to wake up without anxiety being the first feeling I have. If anyone that reads this is in active addiction or recovery, you are loved! Every sober day you have, I a stranger am proud of you. With absolutely, 100% zero doubt, your friends and family are better having you alive and in their life, whatever that looks like.

I had no idea that Em's drug problems started that early. I knew he did drugs before shows more or less from go, but I had no idea it negatively affected him until Encore. I guess he was just really high functioning. I hope he was still able to find happiness in those days, even with the drug problems. I'm beyond grateful we still have him today too.

I'm glad em still alive and also sober unfortunately other rappers died because of popping pills or perks or any other drugs rip mac Miller rip dmx rip pimp c rip juice world

Good video, props. BUT a few things need some fact checking.. The 'things get better' leaked verse about Rihanna was recorded in late 2008/early 2009 time period, he was sober during that time. Also the jimmy Kimmel thing was basically right after he filmed the when I'm gone vid, he wasn't in great shape BUT not exactly fat lol. Otherwise good vid man,

Methadones not a joke I took it for a couple of years after takin drugs when my kids ma died to get rid of the emotional and physical pain which it did but in the end I had to get off that too and deal with my emotions which I’d literally paused whilst on methadone Em was lucky as an addict your always going to have problems doing things too much until ya find good things to replace the bad it’s a struggle but it can be done

The amount of stories I’ve heard of people being saved an hour or two away from death is crazy. My own father was one. Back in 2016 for weeks he had bad stomach pains. He passed out one day and a few days later went to the doctor. They said had he not gone for another day or so he would have died
