my friends in the boxing gym where we training were mad when we were watching it in our television inside the gym. lads are literally saying every single available curse words at that point and most of them put £400 to £1000 to Manny to win and they weren't disappointed after that.

Thinking back about how strong Manny was at those two points in his career, I wondered how and why he couldn't get a KO or KD on Margarito and Rios. Now that I know about the part of disrespect towards Freddie, I think I got my answer.

When you hear the words "That's all I need to know" and no other words follows that sentence you know someone is going to be on the get his ass beat down side of the game.

Inoue said that he thought of going to say "yay" and appeal in Rodriguez's trainer's face immediately after the first knock down but he thought "no, boxing is a sport" and just went back to his corner LOL. Perhaps Inoue sounded more mad at Jamie McDonnell who was 1hr late for weight-in and showed no apologetic attitude at all. Inoue said he's so pissed off and will immediately KO Jamie.... Jamie didn't even last the 1st round.. 🤣

Love this video. The 'Real' great fighters (like Pacquiao etc) are also respectful and that is why they are so popular. Yes, be confident in yourself and your ability BUT there is no need to ever disrespect you opponent. If you do, it WILL eventually come back to haunt you and you will lose the respect of all those around you. Boxing is like life, respect everyone, be humble and enjoy your successes. I believe Bruce Lee's "Emotional content" comes into play. When there's emotional motivation I think the adrenaline lasts longer and elevates people to a higher level than normal. It's almost like a stats booster.

But after seeing the classless actions of the Margarito/Rios team(s), it was extremely satisfying to see Manny humble both of those guys. And as far as seeing Inoue humble a disrespectful Puerto Rican team..............well, it's always fun to see arrogant, trash talking Boriquas get taken down a notch.

I mean, coach having a "failed" boxing career could actually be helpful. If the dude has self-reflection, he can learn from his own mistakes - and pass that knowledge to a more talented fighter. I wouldn't even be surprised if for an average fighter that would be more useful than having, say, Mike Tyson as a trainer. Tyson's phenomenal, one of the most talented boxers in history - but talent is one of the few things you can't teach. In other words, you can pass knowledge to someone with talent - you can't pass talent to someone with knowledge.

No matter what martial art it is, whether it's competition or a sparring match, always show respect to your opponent. Likewise, the best way to respond to someone taunting you, making fun, or getting uppity is by not showing any signs of being bothered and save your feelings for the fight. Always show respect and humility until it's time to fight back. Of course, if someone takes an unwarranted attack at you, defend yourself, but I think that should go without saying.
