I don't want to ruin the fun, but usually, videos like these are scripted and voiced in batches, usually enough to fill the week over the course of one or two days, and then animated and edited to fit in scheduled videos over the course of a week or multiple weeks. In fact, game shows do the same thing, and the contestants usually only stay there for a day. It's a whole lot faster to get the simple things, like scripting and voicing, done as soon as possible, but editing and animating can take days, sometimes up to a month or more if there's only one person doing it, so they're usually given to a large team that works on multiple projects at once, or certain groups work on one video and another works on a different one. However it's done, the videos are amazing and almost scarily consistent, and compared to the SCP Wiki, it's incredibly easy to understand; also, giving examples of how SCPs work/demonstrating their abilities through storytelling is ingenious. A+ to the team

When Day Breaks has quickly become one of my favorite SCP tales. I'm really glad to see humanity has a fighting chance for survival, particularly with the help of 343! Also I'm not surprised in the slightest that Dr. Bright is alive😂

I would suggest the story "One Helluva Broken Day" by TheSilentAssassin on AO3. Although it is rated 'explicit' for graphic violence, so viewer discretion is advised. It's all about, you guessed it, SCP-001, When Day Breaks, and features a number of other anomalies. Oh, and did I mention it's also a crossover with Helluva Boss?

This is by far the coolest 001 story ever. My favorite definitely. But 096's side was the most... emotional, you know? It's heartwarming, but also heart breaking. The fact the 096 essentially adopted a child pretty much proves he doesn't want to kill, but for some reason, by some unknown means, us forced to. Which means that he isn't crying for himself when he gets emotionally unstable. He's crying for essentially all of humanity. He's depressed because he has to kill people, and can't stop it. So his final moments being used to finally be able save and care for someone must have meant the world to him. It really makes you cry, knowing the foundation was trying to kill him because of a danger he couldn't control, and that it litterally took the end of the world to show he truly does have a heart.

When Day Breaks just got even more interesting. Its always a joy to see 343, and it was nice to see people getting saved and that Dr.Bright is still around.

These are all presumably part of the "Daybreak" extended universe, which starts with the reveal that the sun "activated" because an entity very strongly implied to be the old 1548 was planning to glass the Earth, whose capacity to support life is anomalous and given by the sun specifically. The sun reasoned that complete indestructibility and peace of mind would be better than letting 1548 ruin its hard work. Which, incidentally, makes all the creepy ramblings of the blobs a lot sadder, since it's essentially the sun and its victims coping with a horrible, horrible decision made in the name of protecting life.

I was just thinking the other day this would be such an interesting story.

I love 2 major aspects of this story. 1) We gaze through the eyes of a normal person. We all know Dr. Bright and 682 however they're presented as such foreign concepts BECAUSE 2e take the POV of the survivors. 2) This is unexpectedly wholesome. The parable with God, the hopeful feeling at the end. Very well done and very well executed, writing is only as good as the people who bring it to life

Reason: he is still in his human form. He cannot even comprehend his own power in his human form. See 343 VS 097. He is not at his whole power right now. If we're going by how he self integrated, to start life, he had to bind himself by his own rules. Meaning he cannot leave his earthly body FOR NOW.

Though the Sun is slightly nerfed here I really like this channel's take on WDB, it has a more hopeful approach than most narrations.

It's interesting how many stories have come of "when the day breaks" and "endless Ikea" lately. nothing against the two SCPs but are there other good stories written by other SCPs? Otherwise, as always, very nicely told and animated

Never sell yourself short on a talent/ability you possess but haven't tapped into fully. Take pencil to paper. Jot down a story title. Then let your hand out on paper what ideas flow from your mind. I'm wondering if Day Breaks is an evolved version of 610. Maybe the Sarcists succeeded in freeing their God or part of her anyway and as "gift" she created this entire situation. In an episode of Doctor Who, they introduced the Vasta Nerada (small creatures moving in darkness). What if it's the same here but in the opposite way. A tiny version of SCP 610 that can only move through the sunlight.

Most world governments collapsed apart from the UK. The GOC is still active but, like the Foundation, it's basically just a slither of its former self now and a lot of them probably retreated to other universes through the library. The Chaos Insurgency still has its Delta Command active since they have some useful anomalies they can use to stay safe. The Serpent's Hand would be fine since they're able to stay in the library. MC&D is most likely defunct now that world capital means nothing now.

Well that makes things very complex. Because even in moonless nights, there is still sunlight present in the night sky, the earth’s atmosphere curves the sun light around the earth and that’s why it never truly gets dark outside. I think it has something to do with the intensity of the sunlight. The full moon, or when the moon is at full intensity, is still around 400,000 times less intense than direct sunlight. And if you start to think of sunlight as a toxin it makes more sense. The more poison you intake the more likely it is to kill you. And if it takes direct sunlight to melt someone, 400,000 times less than the lethal dose is not going to kill you. Or if it is still strong enough to melt you, its going to be 400,000 times slower which would be a safe dose to recover from every time you go inside.

Stories with 343 always feel so nice to read.

"When day Breaks" or as the SCP fundation likes to call it 'Just another monday'

Now I’m curious, what would Bright do during day break? I almost feel apart of him wanting to run into the light, finally feeling the sweet release of death. It would be cool to see a video on that.

Whenever i hear these when day breaks storys, i just want to hear more! I find it so frustrating it just simply ends, since it is so good!

What if they tested 008 on the globs, I wonder what kind of affect it would have. Since they aren’t dead, what effects would it have?

Okay hear me out we get the specal 5000 pills and try it out or we use dr bright on the blobs to make an army (it is shown in other scp wdb scenarios that bright can controll the blobs)

It really is the scariest SCP, I'd rather get Thanos finger snapped by "O'Death" cause atleast it's instant. The sun Is the very essence of our existence and to think that it suddenly is thing that kills us like that is horrifying to think about.

damn when day breaks would make one hell of a survival horror game

honestly it makes sense to have 343 be able to do the fighting and saving if he is God and has done everything he did in "The good book" aka "The Bible" etc if we take what it says at face value and assume he has powers over evil and that he "Crafted us in his image" he would know probably allot more than most scp's about how to fight these things as he made what they where at first and would have more inside knowledge etc. over all it feels like the perfect place to start.

What I don't get is during When Day Breaks the moon light is suppose to be as dangerous because of the fact it's a reflection of the sun rays bouncing off the moon, and yet people are able to walk around at night without covering their skin.

Look I just know that in the original files of When Day Breaks it is said that even moonlight was dangerous to walk in without somekind of skin protection. Now if these nightly events of When Day Breaks took place during the New Moon, when the sun isn't reflecting off the moon toward the earth due to the shadow of the earth thus making the moon invisible, I can understand why some might be safe walking around with no protection on their skin.

I think that they are ignoring that in order to bring a tiny bit more hope. Remember "There is no canon" so moonlight doesn't doesn't turn you into goo in this version.

I've had issues with "when day break" tbh It the original video about it they say that even the reflection on the moon is enough to melt you, which means seeing people melting would melt you as well (since you are seeing the reflected light). Was that "even reflection can melt" retconed ??

There is no "official" Canon to the SCP lore. Just stories and other things many people believe in. 682 having real life plot armor, etc. Heck, a story I'm writing about the SCP foundation has a descendant of Mansa Musa as a person using what was believed to be the Musa lost fortune as a means to fund the foundation.

@@orangeinkius7257 Isn't SCP more of you choose one of the established paths for which cannon you are following? Different authors trying to follow one of the rule sets but sometimes missing a detail due to many authors.

Maybe y’all could incorporate the fact that the melted blobs that haven’t merged retain their memories and try to use that to lure people they know out. They are also really good at guilt tripping too.

When Day Breaks is one of the best proposals I have ever heard and see. Interesting entries about SCPs in this hellish scenario, keeps me entertained.

There is already one story where the blobs try crashing into the Infinite IKEA and fighting with the humanoid IKEA "employees", side by side with the human communities trapped there. There is also another story where the blobs try to invade the anomalous area called Unlondon and fight the nonhuman "bobbies" that patrol it.
