Varum I get that, but he doesn’t have to do it every round though. I think that if you interrupt someone’s rounds multiple times and STILL think you deserve to win is pretty crazy to me at least.

Yes absolutely loved punchas round but loved how the all of the judges clearly saw what we saw too :) the day waydi makes that comeback tho will be the day! I heard he took some time off to study which on honestly really seem to take a toll on his dancing - ever since 2017 after he peaked in 2016 he hasn’t been the same :( I believe he will get it back tho, it used to be toooo easy for him! I mean like, who else wins fusion concept two years in a row??

@@DevenAyambem Yeah, I'm hopeful Waydi will be back on the dance scene one day, stronger and better than ever I'd like to think him going off to college is indicative of a smart young man who's got short-term & long-term goals & a plan for his life in its entirety; a plan beyond the world of dance. You're about to head off to college, Dev, so I'm sure you can identify in some kind of way. Maybe De Dee will respond to my inquiry and bring us up to date on Waydi.

Titel is wrong. Just a few times both of the dancers killed it.

How would you refer to the style shown in the third battle ( Artem & Puncha vs Sarcellite Hip Hop semifinal at Juste Debout Stockholm 2020)? It's has hints of dance style I learned in North Carolina in the 2000s that we called liquid. I rarely see anything similar to it, so if it has a label, I'm super interested to know about it so that I can find more videos of it.

If you're talking about the first dancer zyko, he's a hip hop dancer but his style is largely based on threading. The shapes and moves he does for the most part are largely centered around threading which is not its own style, but an aspect that he has really made his own. Puncha on the other hand just a hip hop dancer lol

Icee is a friend of waydi and he is above all present for sharing, exchange and connection between the dancers and his attitude is the right one. He wins 80% of his battles in with this attitude that gives most of the time of strength to his opponents.

Icee does indeed have a big ass resume but that does not allow him to do whatever. Waydi may not have the same resume being a newer dancer but his impact is unlike any other which puts at least equal to Icee if not better imo. Being older too, he is expected to be more humble, but when hes getting beat out like this, he always pouts and acts like a complete child. If you watch one of bluprint's freestyles icee is in the background just pouting like a baby, and he is A GROWN MAN! Icee is a great battler but honestly nothing more - he cannot perform, and his musicality needs a lot of work. His experience gives the vocabulary and versality that makes him very hard to beat but all around he is not the most complete dancer. Now that is not say he does not have my respect as you see I even kept that one round from him in this video which matched Waydi, but he needs to grow up a little. It is unbelievable he is gonna be the og but acting like a child when he is getting beat

@@DevenAyambem But icee won this battle. And whether he wins or loses he reacts the same way. What you see as a lack of respect I see it as a desire to share, and having spoken to him I confirm it. And I insist on the fact that you are the best dancer or a stranger who starts out he will have the same reaction and will be outgoing. He is just an artist passionate about dance and that you are where not he will start dancing in his corner. And if he sees you he will do it with you. By the way I said absolutely nothing about waydi, I was already supporting criminalz at "who is who 2008 see before ^^ and strongly new battles with waydi and rochka 🙌🙌🙌

De Dee hahaahha i see where you are coming from too especially since you have personal experience, I have heard that you French love to get very competitive with each other but at heart it’s all love so I can respect the different culture ✊🏾 in America or other countries I feel like it’s more respectful to give your opponent their shine but given it was two French dancers I can definitely see why it would be okay for icee to do what he did

Icee knee what he was doing. He can say that he’s with the vibe or whatever but it doesn’t deter from the fact that what he was doing was impeding waydi and his momentum in the round. It was a crucial round and if he had let waydi keep going off the crowd would’ve been on heavily on waydi’s side coming into the 3rd round

Honestly speaking, Alex is boring for me. He’s always on one setting. And icee I had zero respect for after that. I like when dancers vibe n chill together at the end of a set that’s kind of lack luster but waydi was going off and icee could read that. Take those two battles, turn the video on mute and see if you can picture what music is playing just by how both sides dance. for me boubou and waydi are just way off the charts on musicality and why I feel like Alex and icee ain’t all that.

I feel you brotha, I used to feel very similarly about Alex. It pissed me off when he beat skitzo with icee and won fusion concept in 2016, but overtime you see the real skill in his style. He very very diverse foundation which gives rise to his unique incredible style. I would recommend watching some of his rounds from SDF 2019, he took it over this past year.

@@DevenAyambem honestly. I’ve seen his stuff. And while I can say he’s unique and has skill as a dancer, it doesn’t appeal to me and he lacks something I find in dancers that I like. Could be a personal thing but I think he’s overrated. If I look back at me as a kid, if I’d ever see him dance, I wouldn’t be attracted to him at all. In simple terms. Without thinking about other things.

@@fifty9234 I danced against him at my 2nd battle 7 or 8 years ago I went to see him before to tell him that I thought crazy to fall against him ... It was the first lap and I was a beginner, he started all his best moves and it's all over. At the end of his passage he put me in the mood for my passage and motivated me. He is one of the real enthusiasts and when he dances in battle he adapts his style according to the person opposite and puts himself in danger. Often if you dance hype, he dances hype, if you dance New school he does the same ... I'm not saying that to make you change your mind, it's just that I live in Paris and I know a lot, most of the dancers you see in all these montages and it's one of the best and humanly it's a good person, unlike others (I would not give a name) are the worst bastards. In short he is a friend of waydi and these two dancers respect each other. He's not here to win but to share and there's a lot to learn from him.
