I know an old aged uncle in my village who's servicing watches from 80's. He told that he used to run a watch shop in mumbai at that time and has serviced many rolexs and omegas. He serviced my hmt's in just 300rs also restored two of my grandpa's citizen eagle 7's in 600rs. I think if you find an experienced watch maker,watch can be serviced at a very reasonable price. Also one more thing that I would mention,if the watch is running fast or losing seconds it might be magnetised so we should keep the mechanical watches away from magnetic objects like mobile phones, loudspeakers etc.

I couriered my watch to Seiko service center recently and I thought It'll be expensive since company might charge more but to my surprise, the official Seiko prices are just Rupees 750 for minor watch service and 1750 for major issues. Delighted.

I can understand your passion for watches. I used the expedition mf13 as my 1st watch for almost 10 years then I lost it unfortunately 😢. Got another Expedition, then a Casio Edifice and got really good Titan as a gift. Last week I was going to buy a Smartwatch but after watching your videos I ended up buying G-Shock DW5600UE 😊🎉 and loving it. Thanks to you. Also if you are willing to sell Timex MF 13 i would like to buy it again... Some memories with that ❤.

If your watch is gaining or loosing seconds you can do it yourself too... there is one tiny lever on the balance wheel...you need to push it in the +/- direction according to your needs... do it with a toothpick. And then you can use the time graph app to verify.

Best video bhai, I have Timex Marlin Automatic and was searching for service centre if in case watch malfunctions. I only have 1 Automatic watch for the time being bt planning to buy more. Money is not an issue. Need good hands who can service watches very well.

I can agree to you but. If you have an hmt, seiko , citizen or ricoh. These brands are in Indian for a long time. You can get their service in watch shops. There is no need to get an appointment into any big shop. You just need to find and well trained watch maker.

I agree with you bhai, but people who are not residing in metros struggle to find a proper experienced guy when it comes to Mechanical pieces like myself, but as you said you need to find a proper watch repair guy and make a bonding

@@WatchgyanHindi still playing 2 to 5k for a service is not worth as not everyone can afford it. And if they just use their watch regularly then the service will cost around Rs500 as they will just clean and oil it.

@@kirtishacharya9070 its not same for everybody as some buy 2nd hand watches. Those are pretty cheap compared to brand new. And i believe that 3 years is a safe zone as if the dust get mixed with the oil in the jewels it will most definitely work as a sandpaper and can cause significant damage to the watch.i hope you understand .

I had an Seiko automatic watch, but after 3 years its gear broke, and its repairing cost is much higher. so i bought a solar G Shock watch and this will last me at least 10 years.

Mene meri city me ek shop se automatic watch service karvaya tha kafi achhi service thi & price 900₹ liye the but sirf movement service (because watch almost new thi but kafi time se bandh thi) . Me to puri tarah se satisfied hu. Baki Timex watches ke service centre kafi hai & vo mostly all automatic watch ki service karte hai. Shop ka name Just In Time hota hai most of time.

I have a bulova precisionist. The hour hand doesn’t go beyond 1. After that I have to move it anti clockwise to adjust. Took it to Anglo Swiss in Kolkata. They couldn’t do anything. Do you have any recommendation?

This video is also a very useful store of guidance. In an age of 'use & throw' culture,shortage of real skill in mechanical watches is the main problem.How to locate such a skilled person is a bigger problem. A big well-lit shop with smooth-talking salesman is no proof of skill or honest deals.My opinion would be : please do not be in a great hurry to service your mechanical watch till you find a person of some repute.Not an easy job though.
