0:17 OMG - My heart was in my mouth when she accidentally landed her beloved kitten an almighty kick, while she was birthing its sibling. Thankfully baby mammals are robust and he is OK - despite his mews of protest!. We can see all is well later @ 0:31 - that footage of Mama cat laying on her back in bliss, literally hugging her babies to her, is just beautiful! Every time you watch a mother cat so delighted with her newborn babies, hear her deep purr, and see her grooming, nursing, and enthusiastically loving on her babies, it is crystal clear how much joy she gets from them. Her pleasure is her reward for the discomforts of pregnancy, and the pain of labour.

Did you'll see what I saw?? At the beginning momma kicked the poor little baby with her size 12 boot!! I've never seen that before. I had to watch it like 100 times. But I'm still shocked. Very cute and adorable kitties.

Thank you for taking her in so she and her kittens could be safe! In an outside environment it's likely only one kitten would've survived. And that's assuming mama cat didn't have complications and die painfully during the birthing process. Outside life for cats is brutal. We have three reformed ferals in our home plus feed a TNR'd colony of 6-8 outside. Thank you again!

What are you saying? Have you been to a country with uncontrolled stray cats? They are literally everywhere and unavoidable, what are you saying? If that was the case, cats wouldnt exist because what you're saying is they arent fit enough to survive evolution. Which makes absolutely ZERO sense if they are around today.

This has happened so many times with us. Most of the older cats we have now were either born under our deck or in the house. The ones born under the deck are now 23 and 13 years old and the 8 year old were the ones born in the house to different mothers one mom is the 23 years who escaped being taken to the vet and then came back 4 weeks later than 5 weeks gave birth in my mom's underclothes drawer, The reason is took so long for the 23 get fixed even though she had been the house since she was 4 months old was she would just never tame down or wanted to be petted but she was a good cat. she is now fixed thank goodness. The other mom was a stray long haired cat that we had been feeding for a while and gave birth only hours after she came into the house. So it was 8 kittens all at once. But all the cats are now fixed as that was the 1st thing we try to do even with the starys that also didn't leave and made themselves at home. Also while we can bring them all inside until they trust us as we let them come in when they feel safe with us there is a few cat houses for them to sleep in the colder months and food everynight

Probably not, fortunately. Human births (and reproductive cycles) are pretty uniquely terrible. If I remember right it's a combination of being great apes and then adding GREAT BIG HEADS to the equation.

@@CelynBrum Haha, right? We do have big ole heads. It would make better sense if heads stayed small and them expanded when out. Like a tea bag. I'm glad for the cats though. Can't bear thinking about them in great pain. Cats do have a high tolerance for pain but still.
