Joran's father, being a judge, frustrated this case very intensly. Something that can't get enough attention. Also worth mentioning is that Joran went to Thailand where he was kicked out of the country after trying to establish a drug and prostitution network. He clearly is a sociopath and a selfish egoist.

This case made so much impact in The Netherlands here. For part two: Peter R. de Vries also did an interview with Nathalee's mother about Joran blackmailing her. The journalist dedicated his life to solving the case. I know that it has nothing to do with this particular case, but Peter R. de Vries was a legend in crime journalism. In july 2021 he was assasinated. It would be very much appreciated if you can mention him and what he has done for the family in the next episode as well, as well as mentioning the fact that he was sadly assasinated two years ago. Thank you so much for making two episodes about this case.

@@ouwebrood497 Interesting points that you have made. Joran's recent so-called acknowledgement had some people criticizing that some parts did not seem to make much sense. My opinion was that, unless proven otherwise, Joran's narration in Peter R de Vries' operaton was likely the most accurate. It was a time when Joran felt comfortable to speak his mind in an informal manner. Of course that version also had gaps. Perhaps the consistent thing he did was to shield his daddy. The Holloway family more or less understood Joran would never tell the whole unvarnished truth. What mattered was that he officially declared responsibility in a formal situation.

Beth Halloway has been such a strong advocate for her daughter Natalie all these years! I can't imagine the pain she's gone through. Losing a child is one of the most painful things in this universe to go through. But to not ever be able to find their body and have it laid to rest has to be like twisting a dagger through the heart. 💔 Hugs to Natalie's family and friends. I'm glad the US shipped Joran back to Peru.....where the prison system is even worse than here. He deserves every day he's in there and more.

I graduated high school in 2000, so I could relate to this girl a little bit, being close in age to her…in my opinion as a young woman/girl back then, I could see how this happened…I was also a very naive and generally sheltered 18 year old who went crazy with alcohol when I had my first taste of freedom. I was a “good girl” type who tried to do the right thing, etc, but made many bad decisions bc of alcohol and boys. I feel very sad that she paid so dearly for this mistake, when so many others do all the same things she did, and live…the only mistake she made was unknowingly being alone with a psychopathic killer. RIP Natalee and Stephany.

@@betsylaughlin8652that's a very honest take on a situation like this. Most people (even myself) also went thru a faze in my life around the end of HS & the few years afterwards where i went a little crazy when it came to social partying, risk taking and substance use experimenting and it's really sad how some of us can go thru that & make it to the other side once you get it out of your system... But she sadly lost her life & it's beyond unfair. It's unfair some people judge her and people like her because so many people go thru a hard to explain life lesson like this. She never deserved to lose her life... It's beyond frustrating that people take advantage & take away people's lives when someone is just growing up and learning. No matter what some people say, some people have to live certain experiences first hand to really learn certain things. Just because someone isn't perfect or makes mistakes doesn't mean they are a bad person, in fact it can weirdly help them learn about things better than any cautionary tale ever could... It's hard to explain.. i just don't get these people who comment on stories like this with an attitude like "well if she or he never did this then this would have never happened.." *as if the vast majority of us never had moments in our lives where we were irresponsible and slightly risk taking...? It's just ridiculous. She or anyone else should never lose their life from some monster hurting them... I graduated HS at 17 in '07. It was crazy how long it seemed to take to solve this case. I remember seeing it everywhere in the media...

I’ll never forget this case. I grew up 51 minutes away from Mountain Brooke. My brother was murdered the day before she went missing May 29, 2005. He was a good kid all in all he was out partying with friends celebrating the life of two friends they’d lost the year before in a motorcycle wreck. He was leaving to get a couple hours of sleep before work. A car pulled in front of him and shot into the car hitting my brother 6 times and his older cousin 5 times killing them both. My brother didn’t know the man he had beef with his cousin. Wrong place wrong time as they say. We knew who did it the man immediately went on the run. It was on the news for one day his murder once charged the murderer had his picture posted one day. As a kid it hurt that’s why I realized statues really is everything thing and black lives don’t matter to the public. They had her on the news here in Alabama from sun up to sun down. While my brothers murder ran free. It still pisses me off till this day. The guy was finally caught in October that year in California he got stopped on a random traffic stop after work. If he’d got a new identity they probably would’ve never found him. He forgot his fake SS number. I was never mad at her or her family just the media I hate it took so long for her family to get the answers they deserved but my brother mattered to. The media didn’t care about a black kid violently murdered. He wasn’t one of them kind of kids he drank and smoked the same as her but even as a kid he had plan it was different than hers but he had one. To know him was to love him. @@d5orinI am not sure what your definition is of fine but I wouldn't class his time as ''fine' - His wife left him, she is changing the child's name so the child has no ties to him. - He was busted for selling drugs and moved to another prison where he got attacked by inmates. - The prison he is now in is worse than the one he was in. - His mother has no contact with him. - He got an increased sentence from 2038 to 2045 (maximum he can do by their law) - He is showing the world he is indeed the steaming pile of garbage he is 💩💩 Two beautiful women who would have continued to hold an amazing space in this world and contibute so positively, instead we have him wasting space.

Terrible idea for a school to sponsor this kind of trip!

My thoughts exactly! But I blame the rich and wealthy parents that thought it was a good idea also ! If this had happened to a regular blue collar workers daughter it would have never had so much publicity! But a normal hardworking family couldn’t afford such a pricey trip! Nancy Grace rode the story for years!

Exactly...a trip to another country with only 17 supervisors for all those kids 24/7 for 5 days...in a country with legal drinking for all those kids...none of this was ever going to end well
This is my favorite channel. You always handle the victims with such care and compassion. But also are the most accurate with these cases. ❤❤❤ You deserve all this success and more my friend!! Ty for what you do!! ❤❤❤
Good morning Adrian. Thank you for another fresh cup of crime
Skeptic Aruban here. Am skeptical about his claim of dragging her body out and "letting it float away". If they were on the western coastline, where the hotels are, her body wouldn't have been carried out to sea unless he brought her *way* out first, which would have required a boat, which would have required an accomplice. The currents there don't drag you straight out to sea from the shore.

This version was on the table for a while... But what matters is that he did kill her and confessed... We will never know what happened exactly. I believe he was helped by his parents.
Adrian, I really appreciate your concise yet short crime videos. Other people that offer crime videos really draw them out. Thank you!
Rest in peace: Peter de Vries, one of the best. Also a very tragic ending for the two young women, may their families find comfort in their beautiful memories.
Awesome video as always!!!
Absolutely great work as always, Adrian. Keep being awesome, take care and stay safe. Gonna listen to this and a few missed vids of yours on a binge with my coffee! 👍🏼
thank you for giving stephany her own dedicated coverage, by the way 💖 i look forward to hearing her story next week
I was so immersed in this tragic story years ago. Adrian your channel did a superb job narrating this very sad case of Natalee Halloway. RIP Natalie🙏

Earliest I've ever been to a video! I love what you do, and the emphasis you place on how these crimes impact victims and their families. Keep it up ❤
Love this video and that is saying a lot because I have seen countless videos on the case. So happy you are doing a second video Stephany! Great job as always!❤
Another great one Adrian 👌🏽 thank you 😊
I’m within 2hrs of uploading maybe he’ll see this!!! Hello Adrian, love the way you present these stories with care and respect, even my parents like your videos! Happy to see the success of this channel grow ❤
I find it sad that our American culture is so fascinated with partying to the extreme. Girls and ladies - never, never go to a bar alone, go with friends and leave with friends. Never go alone with a man you do not know. If he cannot stay around your primary people he is not for you. If he insists on getting you alone he is a predator trying to isolate you.
love your videos! thank you for another upload ❤
The highlight of my week is here! Thank you for another video❤️❤️
Thank you soooo much Adrian for respecting Natalee and Stephany's memory !!! That was a beautiful tribute ❤ We need more youtuber like you
Can't wait to watch your uploads with a cup of your coffee. Great job every single time, Adrian. How do you even manage to do the research, script writing, filming and editing in a matter of days?

Yay! Always happy to see a new coffeehouse crime video. 😊
Hi I m from Mumbai India and I cant remember how i came across your channel - but its amazing how much research you put in - and how detailed and balanced your videos are without getting into cliches or biases - altho crime makes sad, i shall never understand how someone can kill another human being- but i like watching your videos what a horrible person Joran is - hope he never gets out and is in one of the worst prison ever where he is so tortured daily that he regrets he was ever born
Love your content Adrian...we appreciate your hard work 💓
Thank you for posting! Just made my coffee ☕️ cheers
Always have a good day when i see Adrian upload! Already know it's gonna be awesomely done. Love ya, man!!
This story is so heartbreaking. And what a piece of trash he is. Thanks again for another great crime story.

I am from Alabama as well, just a few hours away from MTN Brook. I have followed this case since it happened. I believe I was in 9th grade during the time. It's just as heartbreaking now as it was then.
Please keep up posting i love the stories you provide
You are hands down by far the best storyteller on here and in any Forum that I've watched or listened to I love your voice and detail you could honestly tell that you do your research and study a story before the words come out of your mouth, coffeehouse fan fosho!!
What a case😢! Thank you Adrian!
Ladies, NEVER ever leave your drunk girlfriend with some dude let alone 3. Sadly, Natalie made a very bad decision that got her in this situation. Sad.
I remember this very well since im Dutch, and this was all over the news for a long time. You've explained it very well!
ay great job on the videos keep it up !

Weirdly I was just looking to this case last week. So glad to see it covered!
Fell on hard times... Thank you for all you do with your videos. I'll make sure to pick a bag of Classified when I can.
Thank you Adrian ! I just brewed a cup of classified coffee.. it’s perfect for a rainy morning.
It’s so weird, how the one person that gave birth to you, raised you from a vulnerable baby into an adult, live with you in the same house for at least 18 years and be so painfully wrong about their kid’s character. Love truly does blind people to a disturbing fault.

@@shachede6828most parents of killers are still in deep denial. A kid that murders a girl because he got rejected is not a normal kid. The mom is delusional at best
Thank you for another great video.
Wow I’m on time! Thanks Adrian
I am glad he has finally been charged. I always knew he was guilty he oozes arrogance. I hope his time behind bars is not an easy one. RIP Natalie, my heart goes out to your family
Julian - you might want check this case out in Australia (yet another from here). 'An Australian woman has been arrested in the Pacific republic of Palau, accused of repeatedly trying to murder her ex-husband in South Australia. Mother-of-two Lisa Lines, 43, was arrested by Palau law enforcement on behalf of SA Police's major crime investigation branch and was remanded in custody in Koror'. Looks like a remarkable case. BTW - best true show on the internet.
Thanks for posting!
Really enjoy your videos! Especially with my morning coffee ☕️
