I was Witchfinder on your left, on the other side of the lake. We had a decent start but when almost the entire enemy team started to help out there became impossible to hold.

Awesome engagement, that Stug vs. Sherman battle was awesome. I've been watching your vids since the Wargame days and I've learned a lot. Keep em coming! Also I like how you zoom in from time to time to catch the cinematic sequences. Cheers! The enemy team would have done well to off map the hell out of your position so that was good luck there.

The only surviving Nashorn that functions is painted in the same variant as the Neigl variant, its beautiful. I frequently follow the youtuber who maintains the beast.

Looks like the game has it out for you! At 17:08 a killed plane crashes into your hilltop treeline and damages/pins a few of your squads. Funny its happening a lot all of a sudden! Great video as always!

Amazing video as always! Just some tips! When you see "ci" in italian units, it's pronounced something like "tchi" so it would be "futchilieri, altchione"! And also, in Marò, the o is the letter that is stressed! Cheers from Italy!

I once had a king tiger with broken transmission against several T-34 It somehow managed to destroy all of the T-34's one after another, and the wild thing was that every reinforcement i tried to send forward was picked off one by one. Im talking about supply trucks and stugs

YES you did have the advantage with the high ground BUT they also attacked at the worst possible spots. Especially when they attacked in between the hill (on the right) and the lake (on the left). That couldn't havd been a worse spot to attack with 7 to 8 tanks (give or take). As I recall you knocked out 4 or 5 of them in that one move alone. LOL it was a great position that's to those lakes on thd left and the vast open ground in front of said hill. *GOT TO LOVE THE HIGH GROUND!*😁

Hi I just got the game in the sale. Really cool. Could someone please tell me how to get those AP/armor numbers that show up next to units for vulcan? I assume its a mod? Edit: oh whups finally found it in the settings.

Only thing I think the Allies could have done was mass smoke the hill and rush. So many Shermans lost due to how passive they were. They should've made a solid push as one instead of inching towards the hill just to get blasted

Yeah once they saw it was a fortress they needed to lay smoke down until they were in close range and then use their numbers to swamp the Germans. Smoke to blind, arty to suppress, infantry and tanks to assault.

This map is one of the few unbalance maps due to that hill. If someone get the hill from your side, they can shut down the middle with AT and armor because the enemy has to cross open grounds. Meanwhile, even if the enemies get the hill, they have to contend with mutiple heavy forest cover within range of medium ATs. Also, I found it weird you were risking your nashorn by engaging the M4 at their range. If you placed your Nashro on the part of the hill between the light and heavy cover, you get clear view at max range for both reinforcing roads.

you can still "siege" the hill by using arty and air bombers, since the cover of the forest surrounding the hill, any unit in the hill will barely have cover to hide while rocket arty destroy them before the infantry and tanks assault it. I never saw the Americans as the Italians to flank the hill but keep sending shermans to their demise.

A bad day to drive a Sherman.

Good game, would have probably been very different if you had a division with off map!

I always liked the nashhorn, it basically perfectly fits the "glass cannon" description Love the content as always :) Edit: what division gets pz grens with panzerschrecks?

They are definitely similar. WARNO being the newer modern version of this game. I prefer SD2 at the moment but it's close.

How can you cancel offmapstrike? Is that possible?

nope. i mis-clicked one in a rush the other night and luckily it didn't land on any allies, still a bonehead move.

You can cancel off map by clicking on the off map in the bottom left and clicking stop in the bottom right. It's not very clear but definitely possible.

Is SD2 worth getting good at? Considering the small player base.

Depends if you like playing competitively. At the top end there is a League with 5 Divisions, 1 being highest. Each division has at least 8 players. Otherwise, for fun? Sure being better will help.

I play 90% of my games in single player skirmish just to do this and that. Its one of the best strategy games Ive ever played. So is it worth getting good at?... Doesnt really matter honestly, you will or wont but you will have a ton of fun with it whatever the outcome.

I felt sorry for your opponents, thats a horrible position to have to attack. I think mass artillery then smoke would be the only way.
