@dogloversalumango Yes, I wish they wouldn't have shown that. I honestly don't want pet owners to witness that moment, cuz it can be so hard to watch. Not every pets wake up that way (not smoothly), most wake up smoothly , quietly. But the ones that do vocalize or doggy paddle, they totally out of it, not fully conscious yet. Everything is a sensory overload; loud and bright Best is to cover their eyes, make no loud noises, hug dog to your chest. (Your heartbeat alone can be soothing to them.) Until the dog comes out of that state. Not to parade around and take videos 🤦🏻‍♀️.

@@yorkiesweetpea23 They gave me my Daisy (RIP) half awake after a dental and they had to remove a HUGE chunk of teeth so she was in discomfort. She was in pure panic and was just crying the whole time the assistant was explaining medication and such. My anxiety went through the roof. Hate remembering it.

I don't remember for now, but there was one time where I had to take my cat Mae to the vet but they wouldn't let me come in cause of the pandemic was at a peak then but when the girl brought her back out, she was about to put her in the backseat, naturally I asked if I could hold her, and I handed Mae. Just before we left, Mae gave me the biggest hug and LITERALLY did not let go even when we got home

the screams out of her when she saw my Dad with the nail clippers.. he hadn't touched her. lol. My cross was the same.. so I bribed her.. halfway trough the first paw she would deign to hae the bribe.. prior to that clamping her mouth shut. get ye behind me satan! then give in.. and scoff the lot. lol. I used to hug her tight and she me afterwards..lots of soothing soft words.. then leave her in peace for a god 30 mins. when I went back in she would be totally back to normal. She needed to relax and the food helped that of course.

My cousin is working to becoming to be a vet and a lot of know that there are a lot of tears sadly there's a lot of animal abuse cases and even people trying to wanting to get their animals put down because they can't get pregnant anymore and my cousin has rescued 10 different animal babies that the owners wanted put down that weren't even 2 years old yet and her and I found loving homes where they wouldn't be set to be put down again because they have the best lives and they are surrounded by love

Good stuff, We have a 180 Great Dane, The Vet staff love him as he is a big sweet boy but he doesn't want to be there and when they bring him out they learn to ski down the hallway as he heads for his people and the door!

I love dogs who are very vocal. Our American blond lab was, and I kept saying mom mom mom. When my sister left. 😂 He got to standing on the porch yelling mom mom mom. Everything she got in or out of the car. Unfortunately he passed from cancer at only 8 years old.😢 i miss that 140 lb. Of lap puppy.

They are suffering. Frightened,yes, a little bit high from meds, certainly, but they are well taken care of animals. Children have much the same reactions to the doctor, btw.

My retriever had an operation and stayed overnight Next morning phone call come and get him At lights out the dogs were all asleep MY BEAUTY started to howl ALL THE DOGS STARTED TO HOWL MY BEAUTY THEN *WENT TO SLEEP* The other dogs apparently carried on howling

It is so pitiful when an animal comes out of anesthetic. This is why vets don’t let you take your whole pet home as soon as the operation is over. They wait until the animals awake. I had one baby, who when coming out of anesthetic, which scream most horrifically.

This is soo funny. We had one who clearly loved going to vet n jumped up to inspection table. Then we had a staffie bulldog who hated vet n would layed on her back when yot to vet.. that was a mission for me, and Xena would snapped when she been touched. Soo funny.😂❤

My doggie LOVED going to the vet!

My lab is always happy going to the vet. When he is on the walk and we are passing close to the vet clinic he is pulling me there, lol. Always wagging his tail during visit. This is why I am so surprised to see a lab acting so agressively toward owner like this one at 8:52. Labradors are friendly byb nature, so something is really wrong and is much likely the owners fault, especially hearing this woman's voice at 9:05.
