I understand the draw to Whelen lights, they have been the standard for some time now and are very reliable, however. My department was charged about 5k per lightbar and the supply issue we encountered whilst trying to get the lightbars to be installed was ridiculous and ended up delaying our new vehicles by about 3 months.

@@utilitac333 seconded. My shop in Texas has started pushing SoundOff because we can get it in about three weeks and truth be told, I am actually very impressed with them and have been spec'ing more builds with SoundOff lately.

So that's in a case where you mount feniex on the exterior. But what about their quad interior bars not considering the blue color

Is that a factory flash pattern on the legacy at 4:10 a factory preset pattern or custom through a software (core, wecan, command etc)?

You name a problem, I've had it with Whelen products. moisture in the lenses, even on interior mounted lights, failing siren amps that they wouldn't warranty, clouding lens material. I gave up on them and switched to Feniex and ran their products for 7 years inside and out without a single hiccup. I'm conflicted about my next vehicle because the experts and my personal experience diverge...

Personally im really impressed by them. I was expecting an STL or UBL quality but was pleasantly suprised. They still dont stand up to the main brands but for the price point they are excellent.

Our State Police Department here in New Hampshire has LED Lightbars on their vehicles similar to this one, they have Blue/White in the front & Blue with a couple of Red LED's in the back.

Most Whelen light heads and light bars made in January 1st 2023 now have a 10 year warranty . A lot of Soundoff Signal is made in China and the lenses all yellow after a couple of years in the Texas sun. We have Whelen lights that the lenses are still clear after 5/6 years in the sun. Most people don’t know Feniex parts are made in China but assembled in Texas. That’s how they are able to say “Made In America”.

SoundOff's main line like mPOWER, nFORCE, and nROADS are all made in Hudsonville, Michigan. The only thing that isn't made up there I know of now is the SL runner, which replaced the nLine.

You’re like the only other person I’ve heard notice the difference in blue color between the two - Feniex almost always seems to have more of a aqua color, borderline green…and sometimes it’s not. . . Would have like an 800 stick and a fusion on the rear, but the Lightstick was the aqua blue and the fusion V2 closer to the blue like an Ion…OR… the blue is almost to dark like in the first Quad SM’s. *Code 3 also has a bunch of products like that, and SOS are notoriously dark (shade of blue). Fed sig is all over the place too, but still not as bad as Feniex & C3

The only time it's worth it to buy their products is if it's an interior bar. However to perform the same you require more lights for rear and side of the vehicle

does whelen have quad colors, or what brands out there have quad colors, red,blue,amber and white, let me know. I have the quad 800 mounted outside on the rear of my vehicle.

@@utilitac333 @raymondrenteria4774 I do work with someone in my LE dept who is also a volunteer FF. We're allowed to upfit POV's for private jobs so he currently runs trios all around since in the LE capacity we run All blues w/ white on front/sides and amber on the rear. Then in his volunteer capacity he can only run red/white/amber. I know he wanted to have the option for amber front/sides and full scene w/ white on the rear but decided that the tried, true and trusted brand was worth losing that option and spending more money. He also gained the complete control core lets you have over the lights. He's actually the reason our new vehicles are being upfitted w/ core systems now. But now he can toggle through which color lights are activated by his slide switch/cruise buttons etc. So one button on his controller when off only allows amber/white lights to flash and no siren. When pressed once it allows all red and siren, when pressed twice it allows all blue and siren.

Can’t help but notice you still have the factory wrapping on the Feniex bar which does effect it’s brightness a bit, not seen the issue of the blue you are getting. Have had 1 bar develop moister in it but than what light hasn’t. All my customers are requesting Feniex and getting rid of their Whelen, code 3, etc brands for Feniex. No complaints about products breaking as yet but plenty on how much abuse they been taking. End of the day no one brand is the best, it’s just another product with a price tag. Personally I go Feniex cause it’s affordable and been the best product I’ve used interior and exterior. Keep upfiting, some one gotta do it.

yeah its a state law thing. volleys run blue but can get a permit to run white and blue. in my state volleys run green.

STL isn’t even in the same league as ANY of these…and Feniex is like the alternate who occasional dresses for the game but still rarely plays much….while STL keeps trying out for teams they couldn’t possibly make - and worse, they actually get worse year after year. STL is an Amazon product…only ones worse are ETD (extreme statically dynamic) which is just a flat out fraud / scam

A Whelen legacy Duo light bar dosen't cost $7000 anywhere if that's what your charging your customers you are ripping them off they are competitively price with the Feniex bar, but its funny you said you don't make any money on your local customers tho, that makes a lot of since.

Whelen lightheads absolutely suck at keeping condensation/water out of them. All is good for a year or two and then all bets are off. Unfortunately, there is no one company that can claim perfection.

Kinda........nearly........impossible to prevent condensation. It's quite difficult to prevent. Moisture and the atmosphere tends to cause problems with internals. It's the same thing for even normal headlights and taillights. You can't prevent them from fogging up since that's just how water works and how temperature can effect them.

Now I'm curious what the second and the most shit lighting companies are

Fenix are ass I use to love them until I bought there fake IONs and bought whelen IONs, I love whelen now!

The old feniex lights are trash the new ones are actually pretty good

so feniex is #3 whats #2 and #1 worst

whelen is top of the line nothing comes close , i use Feniex only because I'm broke as fuuuk lol surprisingly ive had no issues had them on my car for almost 3 years , now that being said im a slicktop pov , i have some lights on the exterior. i have heard other people complaining about feniex though, ive been lucky i guess. i am in the market for a roof light bar right now id love to have a whelen all white buutt whelen is the best but expensive as fuck but i love them my spotlights are all whelen siren is to considerable louder than feniex

Cant beat Whelen but their price is stupid high for vol/call guys. You sound like a solid company giving a huge deal but a whelen upfit would be like 10k bucks. So that leaves us with Fenix, STL, UBL, or Amazon..

Lighting packages shouldn't cost $4000+ bucks for vehicles that only are in service 4-6 years. Why not disclose your exact pricing and costs, pricing shell games in this industry where many are being ripped off

One way to save money is by reusing lights/ lightbars from old vehicles. Whelen lightbars can do 20 years and more. Most Whelen products made from 1/1/2023 are covered by a 10 year warranty so they're guaranteed to last at least 2 generations of cruisers.

whelen, sound off and feniex have all passed fed sig and code3/ecco.

ive had whelen lights as well and water gets in them as well ive had no issues with feniex its not because i cant afford whelen but feniex is just as good but hasnt been in the business as long does whelen have more options yes but dont knock something you havent used for a good period of time and also not everyone has a whelen budget

No Bueno lights

Of course you can go with sound off and get a better like an either one at a better price

I got 4 2022 Ford explorer utility's straight out the shop already with burnt whelen legacys and halfway burnt whelen ion trios and a few burnt out whelen tracers... so yea all brands are garbage its really just the warranty thats better from each company. My opinion i like soundoff signal but those are problematic also.
