With Sasol having entered their 9th year in partnership with Wheelchair Basketball South Africa (WBSA) this year, the upcoming U23 African World Championship Qualifier taking place in South Africa from 7 - 11 December 2016 will provide a platform to commemorate World Disability Day
As part of Sasol’s continued support of the South Africa U23 National Team, Sasol and WBSA visited the Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Garankuwa. The hospital was built in 1972 and has been providing quality health care services to vulnerable groups for the past 44 years.
Nozipho Mbatha, Sasol’s Group Brand Marketing Manager said” Our journey with WBSA has been a lengthy and progressive one which has provided opportunities for us as an organisation to continue supporting sport for people with disabilities”.
The South Africa U23 National Team will be spending the day at the hospital to reinforce their support, and motivate the patients to continue living a positive life.
Gerald Smith, WBSA Team Manager said. “WBSA is proud of the hard work and dedication that the South Africa U23 National Team exudes, and hope that some of the patients at the Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital will be inspired. We hope that the basketball gear that we will be donating today will bring great value”.
