I didn't think it looked bad before, but it looks great now. 1" can make a huge difference. Nice work. Good call on the anti-seize. 👍 You'll like the look of the poke in the rear, but make sure you're ready to wash your car a lot more. Road spray will get all over the body behind the tires.

Same here! I never thought spacers would make this much of a difference, but they literally perfected the setup! Anti-seize is life haha. I wanted to be extra careful installing these. Never thought of that about road spray and things of the sort, I wonder if it will cause rock chips on that part of the bumper from them being kicked up in front of it 🤔

There is a lot of hearsay about spacers. Truth be told if you torque them to spec and then check the torque every few thousand miles you should be fine. Glad to see that you did your homework, put in the thought and did it right!

Thanks!! Yeah, I imagine those that have trouble with them either buy low quality/incorrect spacers and/or don’t torque them correctly, that’s always extremely important. When I get the new tires put on I’m taking my wheels off and bringing them with the tires to the shop, because I don’t trust anybody to not use an impact on those spacers lmao that could end badly.

How much additional stud sticks out beyond that spacer? I have a new set of wheels and oddly… they did not add recesses for lug clearance. If I can get away with mild trimming, I’m ok with it. Thanks, and Great channel!

fitment can take a while to get right. Ive got 245/45r18s on my pt. tight ass fit. it does help to have adjustible suspension.

It sure can, I've watched a lot of guys here on youtube try setup after setup to get the fitment they were happy with. But I love this as is and don't want to ever change it now, it's perfect for me! Dang, you got some good meat on your PT! That's a great setup, I'll bet it is super super tight though lmao. Adjustable suspension would be nice, someday when I build another I'll do coilovers on it for sure

People clown on these cars but my car is good enough for me to not want to sell and work on.honestly they are great road trip or daily’s and I love the look honestly you have to open your mind past the stereotypes and take them for what they are.not perfect but love what you got

i agree it looks good but you didnt say how it handles now....? also did the watts link replacement do anything for handling or should i just tie it down with something or shove a rubber hose in it to quiet it down?

I've been thinking about something similar for when I get new tires. Probably not as much as 25mm, because my summer wheels are already wider than stock, but getting everything flush and not rubbing will happen for sure.

Thanks dude. It is coming along pretty well. I replaced the radio, all my dash lights, and installed the bc racing coilovers I've been wanting for a while now. Was going to change out the right lower motor mount and put my poly inserts in it, but the part that came didn't have the right size hole drilled in the front, so tomorrow I'm going to see if I can find a larger drill bit to ream it out enough. Even the small jobs also take 3 days for me, it seems.

What size center bore are the wheel spacers you put on your pt? I'm gonna order a set for my 03 pt gt.

Do you or anyone reading this know if the pt gt wheels are the same specs as the SRT-4 neon wheels? I know they have the same tire size but not sure if the wheel width and offset are the same?!? I have a pt with my old srt wheels on them but would like to space them out a bit.

What is the brand and all of these spacers?

Anyone looking to do this, do like he did but use red locktight on the studs that hold the spacers. It's a pain when you remove the spacers, but it'll give a good piece of mind.

Haha Ikr? They’re basically a drag slick now. I’ve ordered new ones and they’re on the way, the reason I’m still running these is so I can make sure I don’t have any more rubbing issues before I put brand new ones on.

Given your past problems with axles, you do realize that any spacer puts more stress on your axle shafts. BMW's back in the early 70's to 80s had a huge problem with both race teams & customers breaking stock axle shafts due to the increased load/weight it put on the stock shafts. Of course stance is up to you. You should measure from the center of the hub to the top of your fender to make sure they don't stick out/illegal. Btw Tein is pronounced "TINE" by car guys especially in the Japanese car community. + the weight of the spacers will lower your acceleration. Looks nice though but imho the "PT" is still for "Personal Transport". Where I'm at you rarely see an abused 1 or a haggard looking 1. In my County I've counted 9 so far. Still interesting vids. 👍
