My daughter is happily married with a wonderful son, and she is a teacher for kindergarten primary children. Where did those years go?

Awwwww! I started watching as a toddler and learned to spell quickly because of it. One could always count on tuning in for simply a fun game. No social media, politics, religion etc. You both, Pat and Vanna, will be greatly missed! Thank you for the decades of entertainment!

it's so so so hard to say good bye. it has been a part of my life since I came to US 1993. at that time I eager to learn English. I found well of fortune and love it immediately. you really don't know how this program is important and how I love Wanna While and Pat Sajak!!! Thanks my best English teacher!!!!

Well, he'll be in Hawaii with local newscaster Joe Moore. They're taking on a two man version of Columbo's pilot Prescription Murder instead of the Odd Couple. for a fundraiser. Limited time event on Oahu, Hawaii.

I will forever be grateful for Pat and what he made Wheel of Fortune become. It definitely is a safe place for everyone. No politics, no social issues, no agendas, just a game where people learned their ABC’s and it also helped people from foreign countries develop their English skills. I learned a lot of my vocabulary from this show. Thank you Pat for everything. You will be sorely missed. ❤

So sad to say goodbye. I have been watching Wheel of Fortune since the 80's. I love this show! I try to solve the puzzles at home. It's so much fun! I love it!! I'm going to miss seeing Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune. The show won't be the same without him. He's been the host on Wheel of Fortune forever! I'm going to miss him! This is truly the end of a Era! I've watched Pat and Vanna for basically a Eternity! From the mid 80's On! 41 years together! I don't think any game show in the future will ever match this Long Run! Pat is to wheel as Alex was to jeapordy. I really didn't watch it much anymore as I got older but I do have fond memories of watching it at my grandma's house who just recently passed away. Just like with jeapordy and price is right, it will still probably be good it just won't be the same.

My grandmother would fuss at Pat through the TV. She didn't like his humor. But she watched it every night, even on her sick bed. The night before she passed, she was watching and fussing at Pat.

I'm really going to miss that guy. I was a kid when they started and now I'm an old man. What an amazing run! I think Seacrest was a great choice to fill his shoes, and those are some big shoes to fill!

This was particularly tough to watch. It's akin to a chapter of American and personal history ending (but fortunately, continuing).

A shame he's leaving. I'm shocked as well.

Keep in mind the show isn't going away, Pat is. Ryan will do fine, give him a chance..no one can replace Pat but no one thought Johnny Carson could be replaced either but Jay Leno actually had a longer run.

Pat Sajak and Vanna White are one of the most ICONIC pairs of TV hosts in history! They are inseparable! They’re like PB&J, Penn and Teller, David Foster and Katherine McPhee! This is the end of an era. This show will never be the same again without him. I have a feeling Vanna White will retire from this show in the very near future as well. I hope that the next generation of WoF hosts will do this show justice.

I mean, that's how life works, when we get old we deserves our own retirement, so no intefereing with work, stress etc. Even then, Bob Barker on TPIR also done the right thing when he resigned that show after 35 years of hosting at the age of 83, that's when Guinness World Records recognize Bob as the longest game show host before Pat broke this record
