Wheat Harvest at Crossroad Farms in Indiana
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this action packed video I am out at Crossroad Farms in west central Indiana as they harvest their 2022 wheat crop, bale and move straw, work up the harvested wheat field and plant soybeans. Its a long video but they had several things going on while I was here and I decided to put it all into one long video.

You need a lot of knowledge to operate agricultural machinery, especially harvesters or balers, you need to know how they work inside to operate them, You literally need to know how to take them apart and put them back together, It's not like driving a car.

This is all controlled by GPS, even the turns are controlled by GPS from what I understand nowadays, I am told it is for seeding purposes saves money in overlap. I am an old man these things weren’t around when I was a farmer, we used to have a cedar with discs and then fertilizer and then spray. It has become more complicated to become easier. Like most everything.

Just sent a message to my husband. We’re both reared on farms, long ago. When I was 14 I “bucked bales” by hand…about 65/70 # each. I’m 80, now, but still a farm girl at heart. Thank you for these wonderful videos. You speak clearly so as to not need CC. ❤❤❤
Grandad had a farm since the 1930s and through to the day he died he worked it. This is ASMR for me.
Your video is a great reminder of the value of patience and perseverance. It takes a lot of time and effort to grow and harvest melons and oranges, but the end result is so worth it. And the fact that you're able to make a living by selling them at the market is even more impressive. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for all the work you do to get our food. You are feeding the USA.
I'm impressed by the versatility of these agricultural machines. From planting to harvesting, they're capable of handling various tasks efficiently.
Best part of video was watching bales being picked up and then stacked. Never seen how this is done before. You have some of best videos on u tube.
The technology used in these machines is truly impressive. They are truly working at another level.
Mike, My two sons have worked for Crossroad farms for 10 plus years. They are in charge of a large part of operation. Crossroad farms have paid them well. So proud of sons David and Kyle! Great video, what a beautiful day to do it also!

Grew up on a grain and cattle farm in the '50's. Holy cow! Appreciate the video work. To the critics, I repeat the old saying, "Don't criticize the farmer with your mouth full."
Absolutely awesome to see all this magnificent equipment. It makes you realize that without it people would be starving. Thank you farmers and the whole farming industry!

Just a great video. It's like watching farm simulator live. This is the most complete harvesting video i've ever seen. Thank you for taking the time to show us such detail of what it takes for a Wheat harvest to be complete. I especially like the bailing process
Wow, you are creative in work and mastery, my friend. And this tractor is very strong 👍👌
This is quite the operation. Not only top notch equipment but the logistics to keep everything moving and productive. Yes Mike, the sound of the bailer becomes hypnotic in a way. Those X9's are serious harvesters!! Awesome video Mike😁👌🏻.
One of the best farming videos i have ever seen. Really well done. God bless you all!!!
love the noise of all the machines but a bailer beats them all. Spent a number of seasons 40 years ago pulling a bailer, loved it!!!
Just, wow. Lived on a farm/ranch in Utah in the 70's and 80's and yeah, that's way more impressive than anything we ever had access to. Good to see wheat was planted and more importantly, harvested. This has been a challenging year for the entire world.

The farmers are always working hard every day to solve the difficulties and I believe that 2022 will still be a bountiful harvest.
The co. Ordination between every operation carried out is so awsome... The machinery used is so modern and powerful.. The technology in farming machinery is developing real fast these days.. Good to see such modern machinery in practical use❤
Oh, how technology has changed and improved. Great video. Love the summer sky.
I’ve lived in a place where there’s 3 farms within 5 miles and I’ve never been interested… until a few weeks ago when I became addicted to FS22! 😂😂😂 Just seen this type of YT content for the future est time and I gotta take my hat off to you Mike! Awesome footage & quality of production Thank you 👍🏻
What a time to be alive!!! Just to see all of these highly mechanized operations in one great video is a dream come true. So many people today do not realize the amount of work and planning that goes into making all this happen to feed us all at efficiency's like this. A great example of why the rest of the world sees the US as the standard to strive for in farming. Another great video Mike - thanks for posting. All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
There’s me thinking, 'Wow, that’s the way to move bales' and then, right at the end, there’s two of them! Awesome😂😂😂

Great video and story Mike, much appreciated all the way from Northern Ireland. John Deere baler goes, clunk clunk clip, clunk clunk clip........we will, we will , rock you, clunk clunk clip, we will , we will, ROCK YOU!
Great video Mike , my cousin works a farm in Northern Ireland but not nearly as large as Crossroads. As a teen I spent a week on my Uncle William's farm . Hours sitting on the side wall of the tractor , rowing turning hay and baling off course. But my favorite thing was bringing the cows into town along the public road and milking twice a day. Love the action..... with huge amounts of work being done with American technology. Expert operators and top class drone work, thanks!
The machines spitting out the compacted straw reminds me of being constipated 😂.
I sure would love working for that outfit. Thanks for sharing. God bless all the farmers globally. They feed the world and are taken for granted.
Your video makes me want to quit my office job in the city and go back to my hometown to work as a farmer
This is the highest resolution that I have ever seen for Farming Simulator
this is by far one of the best videos I ever watched. John Deere must be proud, LOL. I was really impressed wit the tractor used to pick up the bales of straw.
The bailing trailor I just saw has left me in awe today. Such a smart machine
My first visit to your channel and really enjoyed my time spent... Back in the 70's, I drove fork lift in a fast turn over warehouse setting. Loading and unloading box cars and trucks.... every minute counted. I can really appreciate the fine skills of the the implement and tractor drivers. It was a joy to watch them work. Thanks for posting and you have a new subscriber.... Russ
Grew up in the 70 & 80s in Ireland on 20 acre farm with 1/4 of it for corn and for bedding . It was the highlight of my year when the harvest started and the combine arrived . Brilliant video and a massive set up . Would love to be involved in this type of operation but this video will have to do . Thanks Mike 👍🏻
Awesome video as always, Mike! Thank you for your great entertainment.

Well, with Crossroad Farms raking in $14M in government subsidies it's not to hard to outbid the neighbor and live luxuriously....it's just that the unsolicited business venture costs the taxpayer a lot of slave labor, no return at all and former farming neighbors being forced to live in crowded cities instead of living their American dream.....all with the government blessings for Big Ag.

My how times have changed! Great job shooting this multi-faceted operation. Just amazing what short work the right equipment and determined farmers can make of harvesting and planting a mammoth field. My new favorite operation is picking up bales and stacking them into a small mountain.
Dude, that John deere baler was hauling ass. Holy moly.
This is one of the best farming videos I've ever seen. It shows what a big business farming has become. $millions in equipment, countless hours of maintenance to keep it operational and ready to go. Having the people ready to go in an operation like this. I can't even imagine how much fuel was needed to operate all this equipment. All this and the planning to pull it off and the farmer is still at the mercy of the weather. Luckily he had great weather for this. How many days did this video cover?

I thouroghly enjoyed this Mike. Farming today sure is a lot different to what it was when my dad was farming when I was a kid. I am a long, long way away from the open fields these days, but videos's such as these and especially this long one is just priceless. As Amos mentioned below, farming is still such a gamble. The payoff's can be huge and so can be the losses,
Mike. I love your videos. Also, I agree with you about the sound of the baler. It sounds like a slow drum beat where we expect it to build up with a song.
God bless you farmers, wow the equipment amazies me.🇺🇲👍💯
I have been a fan for years. Beautiful Country side and of course Farm equipment. I love looking at the different farmland absolutely Beautiful .
I love Mike's comments about a John Deere baler. Growing up with a JD baler back in the 60's, we always talked about the rhythmic, repetitive serenade of it. Yes, it adds to its character.
Great video very action packed that has to take a lot of work to do all of that, beautiful acreage 👍
Well these guys have got it going on.Great crops, farm, and, equipment, and great job by you.Looks like the wind blown wheat was no problem for the combines.Stay safe out there and Gob bless you all!

Wow, impressive operation going on here. Lots of money there, good to see how far equipment and technology has come. Its videos like this that represent the modern American Farmer. Sad we are dealing with alot of drought through out the world and whats going on politically with farmers in other countries. America First!
I love your videos Mike. I hope you will make many more in the future!
I drove semi, a 390 Pete for the 2013 season with a six combine custom harvest crew. Only one farm baled the wheat straw. They were double chopping soy too. That farm was in Kansas.
Love your video. Saturday night with Canadian whisky and coke 80F inside the house and outside, sunset in July, and watching the harvest/your harvest. Thank you from Calgary.
Absolutely great video… such impressive equipment!
Mike I really really enjoyed this long video I have no idea how much wheat they harvested in this video the amount straw they had baled but it was alot I loved the sound of the combines running as well as that big johndeere square baler I loved that sound of that beer in action as well as the planting of the beans .thank you for this video Mike and the hard work that you put into them .
Mike I’ve watched several of your videos. Enjoyed all of them but this one ranks up there with the best .
Super video. Greetings from Ireland.
What I would love more than anything would be a multi-part video, all shot in the same place but at different times of the year, that simply shows all the steps. Each time a machine passes over the ground, it's included in the video, and narration explains what's going on and why. There's a million perfectly-good videos of Step X or Step Z, but nothing showing "one of each", if you will.
Another fantastic video Mike. I don’t understand why you don’t have more subscribers, as the variety you show is great.

Wow! What a great video. And what an outstanding crop of wheat. Here in Southern MO we've had a tenth of an inch of rain sense you shot this. Sure hope they've gotten more than that on those beans.
