7 was way too late to the game.

I really don't see the point of this. Who is up at 4:30 AM to watch news? To fill in airtime they should just play some 1950s/60s cartoons. They're going to exhaust and chase away their on-air staff who now have to get up even earlier. It's no secret that the life of a morning news anchor is hell. They have to live an inverse schedule which cuts into friends, family and personal time. Not a good move.

I get this, you're the typical cynical Bostonian that doesn't understand big market news. Channel 7 was way late to this game. There ARE MANY people who GET UP EARLY to go to work, some are in the workplace by the time the 6:00am wheel is on. Don't forget the Boston DMA is heavily suburban market (which means people have to GET UP EARLY to go to work sometimes miles and miles away.) It's easy to say on a nice armchair living on mum and papi's trust fund within the 128 beltway to make such wreckless question.

Apparently you don't understand the changing dynamics of local news or what the working people are not home when the morning news. Or you just want to live the old days because you don't like change.
