Every time I see these types of cam installs I say to myself, I can do this. I'm very mechanically inclined. All I need is a lift , bearing puller or seater , a bolt cutter , torque wrench, sprocket lock key and a whole day to mess with. A few moments later I say , dang for one job maybe it's not worth the time and expense lol. Sometimes the best thing to do is save some money and pay the pros to do it right the first time.

Guys like the dude doing your bike are mad booked. My guy who did work on my bike has a 70 bike backlog. Parts is a big part of the delay on some. Pure POWERSPORTS if someone is in the IL, WI area. Dude ran out of quickee push rods and went the extra mile to do solid push rods that take more time .. just so he could get me riding in time for my long weekend. Bike rides and sounds outstanding and is built to be bulletproof The reason for my comment just goes to show that the really great builders and tuners are worth the wait. I’m sure the guy out there by u is the same sort of thing based on your rave reviews of him and his work. Doesn’t it feel like u joined or found some secret club when u find a gem like that? Like u found a shop that is so far above the rest and u just know your bike is gonna be all u could want and more bc of someone with real talent working on it Ride safe brother

So my latest ride is a softail deluxe w/stock 107, modestly customized, yet still w/oem pipes but enhanced greatly w/Cobra RPT slip ons. So far this config works well for me, good sounding and louder with a lil more rip, while not needing tune considering HD's very forgiving ecm (TY HD). Under 700lbs, its an animal and sounds like one too. However, Im paying attention to your adding 2 into 1 on blue, where surely that'll need an onboard tuner of sorts (?). Even though Im getting away without one now, the possibility of 2 into 1 on the deluxe (w/tuner) should be wellllll worth it and totally bad @$$ on all other accounts. We all pay the piper, lol, so cant wait to see how decent yours ends up first, V/R-

Nice video, but the fact that the factory had the wrong shim behind the cam sprocket, let alone the chunk of slag out of a brand new oil pump, makes me wanna dig into my 21 bob 114 to do a cam swap myself. Also like the shop guy said, the more milder the cam the longer the life of the motor. Besides the more radical the cam, the more it starts to sound just like a sewing machine again lol.

Great content for new Harley rider looking to make up grades. I’m now subscribed. Heard many thoughts on replacing stock lifters with low mileage? Some say don’t bother if lifters are new, others say always replace with aftermarket when given the chance. Seemed like you stayed with stock on yours?

Your going to love that Bassani exhaust. I have the Standard an I have that exhaust and it’s great! With your risers and bars you have to go with risers that have the top clamp for your digital speedometer. I went with 6.5 “ pull backs from Original Garage. It puts your Speedo right in your eye sight.
