This was definitely one of my top n64 games back in the day. I would love to see more of it

By far THE most underrated N64 game; it deserved so much more. I myself spent hours upon hours playing it, yet I was the only person I knew who was even aware of this game back in the day. Glad to see it's been getting a well deserved cultural resurgence as of late.

I had no idea that's what the "Gemini" in Jet Force Gemini meant lol. Great video as always, keep it up!

Jet Force is such an underrated game! So few know about this, and I have not yet met someone IRL who knows about it, and yes the soundtrack is amazing!

I played it soo much something went bad in the cartridge, and it did what Nintendo does to people who pirate, won't save and locked progression, Yes, it was an official Nintendo cartridge and that happened. Would love to see a remaster

I love this game so much. Incredible soundtrack, wonderful character design, an unnecessary number of unusual (and unwieldy) weapons. The boss fights were intense. Each level had such a unique atmosphere with the color palettes and music. The Rith Essa and Mizar’s Palace levels, which aren’t really seen in this video, were always my favorites with those huge skies and cliffs. Also shout out to Fishface and that weird frog dude who loses his pants. “My Yin and Yang are warming up nicely.”

replaying it now and it still holds up. rareware was a rockstar developer so many hits for one console. its too bad microsoft has done nothing with the brand or ips from this company.

The days of the N64 brought out some of the best and most authentic themes in video games. Jet Force Gemini is easily one of them. Rareware was on a streak of releasing banger after banger! Not to mention Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, and Conker being some of them haha! Another game(s) I wanted to see have a sequel was Armorines: Project SWARM and Body Harvest! But sadly never did, as well as JFG never did. 🫤 These were the only three games on the N64 where you took on a hostile, alien insect force, and I truly hope someday Jet Force makes a return in some way, shape, or form. The musical score was phenomenal, and the atmosphere and tone of the game were on par. It truly felt like a game that was ahead of its time and will always be a reminder of when video games truly felt like video games. Maybe the Initiative dev team can be the ones to bring this game back. After all, they are working on the Perfect Dark reboot. 👌🏽

100% Authentic and unique . t's interesting because all the Rare games were so incredibly different - Gameplay and tonally. I actually never played swarm, but I'll check it out!

I love JFG! Wish it got a sequel. I have this faint memory of plaining an old mobile JFG game on my old Nokia like 15 years ago, but i cant find any mention of it anywhere! Maybe im just conflaiting stuff in my head, but i really feel like I did

Hey thanks! It was interesting scrolling through reviews of the game and people were saying things like "why is there an ant club / why are there ants with guns?" I think actually alot of people didn't realize they were related in a way. Not sure if they wanted to market it as something distinct and separate.

I remember renting this and then buying a copy. Not my favorite N64 game, still Perfect Dark, but I would've liked to see a sequel for Jet Force Gemini. Microsoft buying Rare was horrible. They just don't make games I care for now. Tired of all the live service focused crap.

My #1 favorite game still to this day. I will always be sad that this game didn't meet RARE's expectations. We could have had a sequel or even more beyond that. There is SO much potential for this game. I really hope one day, they will come back to it. Though, I am SO happy that they actually added it to the Nintendo 64 Online App (updated the widescreen problem too). I didn't think they would. At least, not this early, but I'm not complaining at all. Replaying it this month and I'm having a blast. The only issue I do have is the sensitive joysticks on modern controllers that the game was never designed for. This game needs a remake and sequel more than ever. And more people need to play it. More fans for this wonderful game the better.

I was actually working on a fan remake of this a while back since I have always loved this game. But I am no 3d artist and cant really afford to put money into such a niche project unfortunately. Maybe one day we will see a AAA remake of this masterpiece.
