Update: I went to another comp last week, 2nd round I was judging, sat in the corner/most left station, and no runner gave me a cube, and what's even weirder was when a runner finally gave me a cube, the delegate said that the competitor was suppose to compete on the other side so he was moved all the way to the other side of the room- and I missed my chance to judge again (wasted time AGAIN lol)

@@curiousNic thanks, I still use beginners method though, I'm pretty slow at identifying where the corner and edge piece an F2L pair are! Also, how fast do you have to be to be considered a speedcuber, or am I still just a cuber?
@curiousNic
Жыл бұрын
@@AidanKnepelCubing F2L takes time to learn and get efficient at but will get easier the more you do it. Leaning new things will always make you slower at first but faster in the long run. That’s an inevitable part of the process. There‘s no particular speed that defines someone as a speedcuber and I wouldn‘t worry about terminology. Keep learning and practicing and most importantly have fun - the rest will follow :) PS I would consider someone a speedcuber who‘s main goal is to solve the cube as fast as possible by learning an advanced method like CFOP or Roux and continuously tries to improve and get more efficient - regardless of time and a cuber is someone who knows how to solve a cube but doesn‘t particularly care about speed. That‘s just my opinion.

Hey tingman, fellow aussie here. I love watching your videos and was wondering. I want to go to a comp but my averages and PBs are 3x3 - about 3 minutes, 2 mins 27 sec pyraminx - 28 seconds, 14 sec 5x5 18 minutes, 10 mins 16 sec clock - 2 minutes, 1 min 2 secs I also like solving corn cubes. But I dont think I am good enough in averages to go in to a competition. I also dont know any fast algs even after watching all of yours and Jperms tutorials. If you could give more info in a video some time it would be really helpful to me. Again really love your videos I hope to be like you one day (also use code olor at daily puzzles lol code tingman when i feel more masc) from your big fan (gender fluid (reffer to me as xe/xem)) Xyro
